Ga-Rei Zero review (with spoilers and screencap flood)
So I've finally started(last week Wednesday; eps 1-4) and finished(Wednesday, this week, eps 5-12) Ga-Rei Zero.

HOMG. Isayama Yomi is now my favourite female anime character- She totally trumped all of my previous loves. *A* *A* *A*

Honestly, I dislike Kagura. She was such an emotional crybaby. By the end of the series, she'd redeemed herself by finding her courage, but still... I dislike characters that have a weak foundation in terms of personality. She wavered waaay too easily.
But I kinda ship the pairing of Yomi x Kagura, so I'll just overlook Kagura in favor of ogling Yomi. *coughs*
Funny thing is... At the beginning of Ga-Rei Zero, you see this cool pair of exorcists:
...By the end of the second episode, I believe, they're already dead(........). .____. Then, we backtrack to years ago, when Yomi and Kagura were children and we see their relationship develop. Basically, Yomi babies Kagura and is ever protective of her. Meanwhile, Kagura starts out shy, starts to grow a spine, but is still a blubbering, weak crybaby.
Throw in a few evil spirits here and there, some family conflicts(branches and such), and some mysterious, creepy little boy who likes to kill exorcists to see if they're compatible with a Death Stone of some sort. Reminds me a bit of FMA's Philosopher's stone. >.>;;
At some point, the boy kills Mei; Yomi's jealous older sister, who goes nuts and follows her 'sinful desires', killing people left and right.
In the end, after Yomi kills her, Yomi is then almost killed by the creepy little bastard.
...At that point, I was like, "WTFFFFF?!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! YOMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" DDDD:
Later, the boy comes back to the hospital and visits Yomi... Then... I don't know whether to classify him as a pervert or not, really. =.=;;;; Anyway. Main point is, he embeds Yomi with a Death Stone and Yomi sort of turns evil(?) or whatever. She comes back and kills several people, including her uncle.
Yomi's good for nothing fiancé, Noriyuki, couldn't save her or help her at all. He was useless, through and through. -_-;;;; Even in her somewhat possessed state, Yomi had demanded that Noriyuki kill her, but he just stood there like an idiot and watched Yomi kill Kazuki. I wanted to kick him in the balls, or whatever's there, since he probably doesn't have any to begin with! Fucking coward. But I guess there would be no touching ending, if he'd killed her there; Kagura would just bawl and die from depression or something.
Skipping various parts, we conclude with a short Yomi VS Kagura match, which Kagura wins and it's revealed that Yomi had wanted to protect Kagura all along, and had never planned to kill her in the first place. *insert Itachi VS Sasuke fight flashback* ;A; ;A; TAT TAT TAT

...Now I'm going to have to go read the Ga-Rei Zero manga, which is pretty much the sequel of the anime. Or rather, the anime was the prequel. alhgaogweklagnlkdhgapohg GIMME BACK MY YOMI!!!!!!!!! TAT TAT TAT
