NOTE: Moderators are not limited to rejecting posts that match one or more of the above rejection reasons. We are not going to be reject-happy and reject posts just because we feel like it. However, if moderators agree that certain posts are inappropriate for the community or should be modified in order to best meet the needs of the community, those posts will be rejected and given an adequate explanation.
I normally wouldn't be here, but someone made a point to bring this to my attention. I'm sorry you disagree with our methods, dear.
I understand that you won't be reject-happy, but at the same time, I guess I was really, really surprised that those posts containing downloads of entire albums were approved. I know that you must have looked at each and every post before approving them, but it seems that the moderating team's actions are contradictory (to the community's rules) at times. Also, I am a bit confused as to why you quoted this particular part of the rules? *is confused* ^^; Because I am not directing my thoughts towards any rejection of posts, it's the approval of certain posts that I am wondering about

I'm showing that because it was mentioned that we "broke our own rules" within the last month. It's states in the rules that we are not limited to what is specifically stated, and we deal with them on an individual basis. You're not aware of the amount and type of posts we reject and/or accept

You're not aware of the amount and type of posts we reject and/or accept.Correct. And that is why I wasn't referring to your rejection policies. What you deem as acceptable would have shown up on the comm (and my friends page), and like I said, there were a few of them that were not appropriate IMHO

Indeed. I'm sorry we have to agree to disagree. We still have transitions to make as new mods and there are things that pop up that we have to deal with and we're still learning as we go along. But we don't regret anything we've done so far. Like I said, we're not limited to what is specifically stated, we've been dealing with what comes as it comes, and the reason I address the letters is because I know the people that sent them would be reading this, and have even linked this post in their LJs. That wasn't meant to you directly, sorry.
Don't think we've completely blown off your concerns, we understood and discussed them, but we also won't tolerate any disrespect and being judged as bad mods of a community based on trivial items.
I appreciate you're being assertive, yet respectful, and hopefully things will be better in the future.
