Summary: Kibum was always the one who matched his friends to become lovers… Even though he doesn’t have any experience. He does his last assignment before going to hiatus as the matchmaker.

Chapter 3
Jinki waited for Kibum in front of the mall entrance on that Saturday. He wore a plain shirt, jeans and rubber shoes. He turned around to check on his reflection. He fixed his glasses and pushed his hair back because wanted to look presentable for his mentor.
Jinki sighed as he stared at his reflection. He then puffed his cheeks then turned around. Just in time, he saw Kibum approaching him. Jinki’s eyed widened at what the younger was wearing. Kibum wore a red polo, skinny jeans and rubber shoes. It was only a simple outfit but Kibum made it look so good. Jinki shook his head hard to cut his staring.
“Did you wait long hyung?” Kibum said as he ran towards him. Jinki shook his head then smiled widely.
“Good! Let’s go!” Kibum excitingly said as he held Jinki’s hand and went inside the mall. Jinki felt warm when Kibum held his hand.
Maybe it’s because I’m happy. Jinki thought as he just went with the flow.
Jinki was surprised at the place he was brought to because Kibum led him to a photo booth.
“What are we doing here? We’re supposed to shop for clothes right?” Jinki said as he fumbled inside the small room while Kibum was busy putting coins inside the machine.
“Just shut up and smile.” Kibum ordered him. After a few shots, the both went out and waited for the pictures to be printed. Kibum cut the pictures and separated them equally.
“This will be our first remembrance for our matchmaking sessions!” Kibum happily said as he handed Jinki his share of pictures. Jinki smiled widely and looked his pictures. The both of them looked so cute making funny poses.
His thoughts were cut when Kibum suddenly held his hand again and ran. When they reached the 1st shop, Kibum let go of Jinki’s hand and immediately searched for nice clothes.
“This is cute! You should try this!” Kibum threw a lot of clothes towards Jinki. He felt proud because he was able to catch everything that the younger was throwing at him. Until he felt something hit his head. He wasn’t able to catch the last one due to the amount of clothes that he was already holding, and it resulted with the hanger hitting his head.
BLAG!
Jinki fell down causing the clothes to scatter. Kibum looked behind him and was shocked to see Jinki down on the floor.
“Hyung! Are you okay?!” Kibum exclaimed as he rubbed Jinki’s head. Jinki nodded then smiled.
“You should have told me that your hands were already full!” Kibum nagged at him.
Well, you should have given me the chance to say something. Jinki annoyingly thought. He found that what just happened was annoying but at the same time funny. He didn’t deny the fact that he was enjoying so much right now.
Kibum then pushed him inside the changing room and waited for him to finish trying out clothes. He then was singing a happy song while he waited. The curtains drew out and it revealed Jinki’s new look. Kibum thought hard, he didn’t feel like it.
“So? How do I look?” Jinki asked as he looked awkward. Kibum shook his head.
“It doesn’t feel right. Try something new.” Kibum suggested. Jinki nodded and went back inside again. One outfit to another, Kibum couldn’t find the right taste of clothing for Jinki. He needed to find an outfit that best fit Jinki’s character. After trying a lot of combinations, Kibum finally found the right one. A vest-t-shirt-skinnyjeans-accessories tandem. Kibum knew that it was a simple outfit but it made Jinki looked at his finest.
“That’s it! That’s the right one!” Kibum exclaimed as he stood beside Jinki.
“What do you think hyung?” Kibum asked him.
“Hmmm… It feels nice. I mean, it’s simple but stylish. I like it!” Jinki said happily as he looked at his reflection

They bought a lot of outfits that fitted Jinki’s personality. Jinki was so happy to be able to find something stylish for him. And it doesn’t end with clothes; his hair must be done as well.
“Hmmmm… Trim his hair shorter because it’s too long already. And then, give him short bangs on the side so that when he waxes his hair, his forehead can be seen. Also, put some light colored highlights.” Kibum instructed the stylist. The stylist agreed then suggested things that he can do to Jinki’s hair. Jinki looked dumbfounded on what was happening. He just stared at Kibum who looked at him sweetly and left.
“I’ll be back in a few hours hyung. I’ll just go look for more clothes.” Kibum said as he waved goodbye.
Jinki didn’t have enough time to register what was happening. He just found himself being enveloped by a lot of hair stylists.
Oh boy… He nervously thought.
After a few hours finally, it was finished. Jinki looked so shock when he saw his reflection. He looked so different. He squinted hard then pinched his cheek.
Is this really me? I look so… different. Jinki thought. He then stood up thanked the hairstylists and left the salon. He checked his cellphone and Kibum didn’t give him any message at where he was. He dialed his number and waited for him to pick up.
“Kibum, I’m already finished. Where are you?” he asked.
“I’m just outside the salon.” Kibum replied
“What? But I’m outside the salon too. Why can’t I see you?” Jinki said as he turned around trying to search for brown haired boy. After attempting to turn around a lot of times, finally he caught sight of Kibum.
Kibum was so shocked to see outcome as well. He found himself speechless at Jinki’s new look. He mentally patted himself on the back. You did a good job Kibum. He thought.
“Wow. You look great!” Kibum said.
“Really?! Thank you!” Jinki replied as he smiled widely. Suddenly Kibum skipped a heartbeat when Jinki smiled at him. Something felt weird in his stomach.
I’m just hungry. He thought
“Hyung! Let’s eat ice cream!” he suggested. Jinki jumped happily after hearing the word ice cream. He loves ice cream!
When they reached the ice cream parlor, they ordered what they wanted and sat down while waiting for their orders.
“So, what do you think of your new look hyung?” Kibum asked him.
“I feel so great! I feel that I’m going to be more confident with this new look. And I have you to thank for.” Jinki sweetly said as he held Kibum’s hand.
Kibum felt warm when he felt Jinki’s soft hands. This isn’t right. He shouldn’t be feeling like this. Kibum suddenly let go of his hands and cleared his throat.
“Kibum, we’re still going to be friends even if all of this is finished right?” Jinki worriedly asked him. Kibum looked at him confused but smiled sweetly after registering properly the older’s question.
“Of course hyung. You’ll still have me to come to when you’re feeling sad. We’ll still be good friends. Yeah, good friends.” Kibum continued to smile at him sweetly but this time with a glimpse of sadness.
Good friends. Kibum mentally repeated the two words all over again.
Their ice cream finally arrived and Jinki jumped happily on his seat. Kibum ordered Strawberry parfait while Jinki ordered the Cookies and Cream parfait.
“How does it taste like hyung?”
“It tastes good! Do you want some?” Jinki said as he scooped a spoon of his ice cream and gave it to Kibum. Kibum opened his mouth and the senior shoved his spoon in the younger’s mouth. Kibum closed his eyes to taste the ice cream fully. Jinki was right, it did taste good.
Kibum was busy eating his ice cream when he found Jinki giggling.
“What?” he asked annoyingly.
“You have a little something here.” Jinki said as he pointed at the end of his lips. Kibum tried wiping it with a tissue but failed.
“Let me do it for you.” Jinki suggested as he grabbed a napkin. Jinki was smiling as he was wiping Kibum’s face. Kibum felt his face heat up and he couldn’t blame the weather because the ice cream was making him freeze. And he was still clueless about what he was feeling.
Kibum tried matching the senior with a bunch of nice girls to choose from. He asked what kind of girl Taeyeon was. He found a lot about this girl in what Jinki shared to him. From the way Jinki spoke, he was sure that Jinki and this girl would be a perfect match. Just looking at Jinki’s chocolate orbs, he knew that Jinki and Taeyeon had a special connection.
Kibum laid on his bed when he got home. He faced the ceiling and thought hard.
Why am I feeling this way? I’ve been in love before but I know it didn’t feel like this. This is something new for me and for some reason, I really don’t like it.
Kibum then rolled on his bed.
Maybe I’m taking Jinki-hyung lightly. I mustn’t be so gentle with him. After all, he is still my client. And I don’t want to have any special connection with him. Being friends is fine. Friends only. Kibum sadly thought. He stayed like that for a while until he fell asleep.
When Kibum woke up, the other day, he looked at his reflection and felt confident of himself that he wasn’t feeling any special connection with Jinki.
“I really don’t like him! I just really admire his determination!” Kibum said proudly to Jonghyun one Monday morning. Jonghyun smiled at his best friend who finally came up with his mind.
“Good! Now you understand what you feel!” Jonghyun patted his best friend’s back. They were both chatting happily when suddenly girls started screaming on the hall ways.
Kibum and Jonghyun looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. Not really wanting to pay attention to the fangirls outside.
“Oh my gosh! Is that really Jinki-oppa?!?!?! He looks so HOT!” One girl screamed.
“I’m going to get his number!” Another girl said.
And with that Kibum and Jonghyun looked at each other again and ran for the door.
Indeed they were right. It was Jinki who was walking down the hallway with a river of girls following him from behind.
Kibum felt proud of how Jinki looked now but at the same time he felt nervous about what was happening.
“Jinki-hyung!” Kibum called for him. Jinki turned around to face him but just smiled and left without saying ‘hi’.
“Uh-oh…” Jonghyun commented as he looked at a flaming Kibum.
He was right. Something bad was going to happen.
