Decided to post something random even though it's 2am already and I should be asleep. >_>
When have I been asleep at this hour? Oh right, when sick.
Well anyhow, I decided to make a short analysis of what 'mons I like. I'll pick two (2) evolutions lines or single pokemon from each generation and then list out why I like them.
Generation 1 - Red/Blue/Green(JP) & FireRed/LeafGreen
Growlithe - Arcanine
Puppy - Legendary
-They're doggies. ^^
-Fire type was the "thing" back when pokemon came around here.
-It was in the opening video and it looked rather cool in it, even in comparison to Rapidash
-Growlies were used as police dogs. Importants. *nod*
-Their original beta game names were Flamie and Blaze
-ExtremeSpeed and Double Kick.
Nidoran - Nidorino - Nidoking
Poison Pin - Drill
-Dinosaurs, 'nuff said.
-I've always been intrigued by the last evolution.
-Them ears!
-Megahorn.
Honorable Mentions: Sandshrew, Venonat, Haunter, Jolteon, Lapras and Dragonair
Generation 2 - Gold/Silver/Crystal & HeartGold/SoulSilver
Cyndaquil - Quilava - Typhlosion
Fire Mouse - Volcano
-Jump on the bandwagon, we have cookies! Yeah, they look cool.
-Rollout!
-Echidnas, ferrets, badgers and wolverines... you get the idea.
-Explosions and volcanoes make them seem even more awesome on the trivia side and name origins.
Mareep - Flaafy - Ampharos
Wool - Light
-Sheep.
-Pink & Fluffy
-Them punches!
-Again with the dinosaurs =D
Honorable Mentions: Furret, Umbreon, Scizor, Houndour Phanpy, Raikou and Tyrannitar
Generation 3 - Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
Poochyena - Mightyena
Bite
-They look like wolves. <3
-Dark type was the new Fire.
-Even tho' lackluster I remember using them on my team on an emulator Ruby.
-Bite + Fliching = loved it
Trapinch - Vibrava - Flygon
Ant Pit - Vibration - Mystic
-OMG THE DESIGN!
-This one I actually used to hate 'till I learned that Flygon evolves from it.
-Ground+Dragon = Desert Spirit
-Goggles.
Honorable Mentions: Linoone, Shiftry, Breloom, Sableye, Aggron, Cacturne, Tropius and Absol
Generation 4 - Diamond/Pearl/Platinum
Shinx - Luxio - Luxray
Flash - Spark - Gleam Eyes
-Lions! The mane!
-Electric lions! (Actually it was called the new Raichu on forums)
-I loved Shinx when I first saw it in game and loved it even more when it evolved to Luxray.
-Personally I think the typing should be Electric+Dark, but I'll live with fewer scary opponents. ^^

Land Shark - Cave - Mach
-Land. Shark.
-I learnt the hard way how tedious it is to level a pseudo-legendary.
-My beloved powerhouse. Ground Dragon with Earthquake, Sandstream abilitiy and Sandstorm is raging...
Honorable Mentions: Staraptor, Roserade, Lucario, Mismagius, Drapion, Weavile and Gallade
Generation 5 - Black/White...
Litwick - Lampent - Chandelure* shiny!
Candle - Lamp - Luring
-I kid you not. My first ever shiny.
-Ghost and Fire, also the design of a haunted chandelier is awesome.
-Spirit that leeches away your soul. *giggle*
-Psychic, Energy Ball, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball = 'nuff said
Pawniard - Bisharp
Sharp Blade - Sharp Sword
-The design again. So edgy, so... sharp (lol) and they're chess pieces!
-Dark and Steel. On gen4 I learned to like Steel types as the Water starter gets that.
-Poison Immunity
-So much speed!
