(no subject)
The time is approximately 10:40am. The place is my chemistry lecture. The discussion, thermodynamics. What happens? OMFG I NEED ONE OF THOSE AWESOME SMOOTHIES FROM COLDSTONE. Yeah I don't know where that came from either.
Sooo I did all my scheduling and got everything done for next year, except a major. And all I can say is wow. Currently, I'm very much leaning toward a Biotechnology major. However, when comparing between Biotech and Microbiology (the two I'm mainly thinking about), I realized I'd only need to take 4 more classes to double major in biotech and micro. So it'd kinda be silly not to, because it's looking like I'll be struggling to be full time my senior year if I just go biotech. Wow I actually just did the math, after next year I have 45 credits of required classes for biotech and micro, which winds up to be less than 12 credits (what you need to be full time) over 4 semesters. Craaazy.
ANYWAYS ON TO NEXT FALL/SPRING. My schedule is very much insane.
Fall '07
Spanish 2 9:10-10:00 MWF. Genetics (!!) 11:30-12:20 MWF, 9:10-10:00 Th. Physics 1 12:40-1:30 MWF, 4:10-5:00 Tu. Physics lab 11:30-2:20 Th. Organic Chemistry 1 1:50-2:40 MWF, 11:30-12:20 Tu. "Fronteirs in Biochemistry" (I'm getting the impression it's some lecture about current biochem research) 3:00-3:50 Th. For spanish, I also have 2 hours of online class. I'm really going to love having 4 classes on MWF, 3 in a row. Also, because I can't read and the one genetics section was full, I screwed up what were going to be epic tuesdays and thursdays. On Tuesday, I wouldn't have had to wake up until 1:50. I think Thursdays it would have been 12:40. So now I have 9:10 class almost everyday :(
Spring '08 aka SEMESTER OF LABS AND DEATH
Microbiology 10:20-11:10 MWF. Physics 2 12:40-1:30 MWF. Organic Chemistry 2 1:50-2:40. Intro Computer Science 5:00-6:50 TuTh. Microbio lab 4:10-5:00 M, 3:00-4:50 F. Orgo lab 11:30-2:20 TuTh. Physics 2 lab 7:00-9:50. I have basically 12 hours of lab a week, which amounts to 4 credits. I want to slap whichever dumbass decided labs should only be 1 credit for every 3 hours. Luckily, I've been repeatedly told that physics lab is just fucking aroud and playing with shit, and there are no reports/work outside of class for orgo lab. I know nothing about micro lab. But I don't have class until 10:20 MWF and 11:30 TuTh, which is kinda nice. Still, 12 hours = 4 credits WTF.
I've also started to try to figure out my schedule for next NEXT year, just because I want to see if this whole double major thing is realistic (prereqs, a lot of these classes are only offered in a certain semester, etc.)
And WHAT THE HELL THE OFFICE WAS A RERUN YESTERDAY I was really looking foward to it :(
Only two more weeks left!! Only one week of actual class left!!! Only one class on Monday instead of the typical 4!!!!!! Two games this weekend!! (those fuckers lost tuesday and thursday WHAT THE HELL).
Also, Saybia = ♥ Too bad the CD I want is an import and iTunes doesn't have the song I want need, and I've been having a hellish time trying to find it. Curse you Pandora for playing awesome yet obscure bands!
