I haven't updated my LJ in years... I just discovered that LJ got an app and I'm trying it now haha
So in those months, I'm still always in the know with 3人NEWS and Toma (a bit on random Starto ent. senpais), I never thought I'd be miraculously back to my home Jpop this 2024 flailing to addition groups! I'm catching up with old videos of Snow Man and Naniwa Danshi and enjoying their new release in real time!
With NEWS, I was so delighted when I heard about the marriages of Shige to a non-celeb and Keichan to an idol girl group member too.
I don't remember journaling about Toma's marriage either. And he's now a dad! Omedetou (even though he won't read this lmao) now that Toma is free from his previous management. He appeared on a rock MV I forgot the title I'll insert it here. Hope he could venture into mellow songs too no?
I tried adding up my Jdo/Jmovie list ever since. On my 1st watch, I loved it but moved on to other things. But when I rewatched Kiekoi lmao that urged me to take a peek at their vlogs and discography. Meme Micchi are so adorable!
For the suno members, first try their Junior channel. Very delighted to know that they were all subbed. Knew about Takizawa Kabuki Zero thankfully on Netflix. Ride on time too. Man, the performances were captivating. I'm proud of their waiting game to debut, it all paid off! Ren juggling two groups before reminded me of Ryo, I couldn't imagine they'd do the same to a junior. But the way he cared for both members was so touching. I couldn't explain in words, maybe I just knew how difficult it must be to let go of another for management's decision. But despite that, I can sense a humble aura in him. Also, I got interested when Nabe sang on a music show with another artist. He was great in there! And he's funny off stage, in their vlogs and variety shows. The tsundere side of him reminds me so much of Ryo. I also think he's the back leader of the group. The firm one behind cam. Even if he goes wild with fanservice, his serious side with his strong will was very evident to me just like on Ride on Time. Koji is getting on my top list too. I'm easily hit with his banters but at the same time, the seriousness gap is surprising to me! I watched clippings of the prank wherein he was pressured to sacrifice himself so that the group wouldn't be harmed. He volunteered without a flinch! Very selfless. Another touching scene was a recent one, his morning show went to a place with a huge Massaman statue. I hope I got the spelling. When the other hosts were busy chatting about the statue, Koji went silent admiring it. When the older host checked up on him he couldn't hold back his tears. I wanna hug him there too~ I find his clinginess cute and made me want to be a snowman member too haha! Sakuma did a very great job as Jyushimatsu! The voice, the gestures, the energy! He was the perfect live-action version. I thought he was an overall energetic jolly guy but when I watched him on Ride on Time, I witnessed his serious side. He was very professional at the rehearsals. He coached a junior on how to deliver lines, noting that they should consider the audience especially those at the back. He also helped Koji when he was panicking during the dance practice. Sakuma was endearing and impressive. Uhmm this is getting longer I might post a separate one for them I guess haha
And to fill the gaps on my yearly post before, the mini recap is that: as I am a multi-fandom fangirl at heart, I've been hooked on anime then seiyuu, 2.5d musical/stage and eventually stage actors. Before the pandemic, I supported my own country's boy group SB19.
There were heartbreaking phases in my life and as a distraction, I also jumped to the unexpected another genre Kpop: mostly groups like Astro, Pentagon, BTOB, and soloist Woodz! I have to tell you they have amazing songs so you might want to check them out. I have to add them to my profile one of these days Lol maybe if time permits.
