Impromptu update: the Brokes and the Larsons part 2
Part two ! This would have been in the Larsons post, if only had I thought of it sooner.
Jodie pretending to be a housewife: remains incredibly fierce while doing so.
Is my bias towards Jodie and Nina showing ? I'm worried it will.
Biggest news: Chester is moving in ! Mostly because I never play his lot and I miss him a bit.
Introduction:
Chester Gieke is a nerd. He works at the Landgraabs' electronics store. They sell transistor radios and the kind of tv you'd find in the 70s. (I sometimes forget it's a 70s theme neighborhood.) He works really hard, for very little money, yet likes all things electronicsy. The cat there is named Atari, he joined the household because Chester was feeling lonely when going home at night. I'm looking forward to his meeting with Rose and Merle.
Jodie and Chester met while she was in her Free Love period. Although he was not the only man around Jodie at that time, they clicked, and he hang out for awhile. I did not really choose him for her, the twins did so themselves. The 3 of them liked to genuinely spend time together.
Chester and Jason learned to share Jodie on their own, and I only gave in once seeing the look of approbation on Jason's face, and realizing how important he became in Jodie's life. They however needed to put clear separations between their relationships.
So he proposed, quite awkwardly, in the local park, but she said yes anyway, and all was well.
Back to present days game, let me introduce: the one true pairing that will never be.
Their households have similar feels, and the same dominant color, he's young, rich and in need to prove his manhood, she's looking for a husband with money and a paternal presence for her children, they get along perfectly well. Really perfectly well. Jason adores Brenda's kids. He used to spend a lot of time at her house, autonomously bathing the baby and playing catch with Brandon. And randomly cleaning the dog's bowl. He is so happy over there.
Brenda is slightly older, but still young enough to give him a child of his own.
And she fits perfectly in his arms.
If they're so perfect for each other, why aren't they together yet ? I have no idea. I locked their "get married to each other" wants (they're not even engaged). But it looks too much like a fairytale for me to believe it.
