Yay, Myrtle has one new eye in. I've only so far removed one of the yugiri defaults, having spent 2 hours doing that, and now it being late and me being tired I really cannot be bothered to do the other one ^_

and i'm quite curious - how're you removing the hot glue? hairdryer?

I'm heating up a pair of tweezers with a hairdryer and peeling out the hotglue. It was really really slow eith the first eye for and hour or more, but suddenly most of it came out in a big clump :D Just hoping the second eye will be as easy, I started it, but it was proving more difficult.

it would probably be easier to just blast the hair dryer (low heat) into the head cavity for about 10? min, and then using the tweezers to pull it out. just be careful not to melt the eyelashes!

I was doing that at the beginning, hair dryer doesn't go very low heat though, even on cool, and the head was getting worryingly hot *paranoid* >.>

it'll survive, i think. or at least, serryl's head survived that. >_>

there supposedly the "freezer" method in which you stick the doll's head in the freezer and freeze the glue off. have never tried it, though. it also always made me wonder if your doll's head would emerge from the freezer smelling like frozen meat. >_>

gosh, i hate removing hot glue from eyes. didn't occur to me to use tweezers at first, and ended up breaking a couple of nails. all the best with the second eye tomorrow!

I quite like hotglue for how clean it is, and it keeping eyes in well, but it is a pain when you want to remove it.

Ah well back to my essay (really should have done essay BEFORE playing with dolls, but so hard to resist).
