We're draining our planet's resources, and while we bitch about how gas prices are going up and run all over the world trying to spread our empire so that we can have amass more natural resources than our enemies, and potential competitors, we forget to lower consumption of said resources. I find it ridiculous that while gas is running up to $5/

All in all it seems to be a sad trend to ignore the option of lowering consumption. xP Shops could have lids on their freezer-pool thingies or that kind of plastic curtains they used to have before to keep even some of the cool air in. Electornics manufacturers could make gadgets that have a power switch (if all electric devices would make use of the new and more effective electric designs in the OECD countries, it would reduce pollution an amount that equals to removing 18 million cars from the European roads [says The Economist]). And those bloody SUVs could be spared for those who actually need them. *grumble*
I think I saw you during one of those fairs a few years ago! Nice pictures. Pretty much everything Google knows about me is that I've written an article for the school paper once. :D

I heard that Japan got thrown out of a meeting by Bush because they criticized the US for not enforcing environmental ideas/policies (Bush was insulted so he and other members of the meeting picked up their stuff and changed locations without informing Japan). Apparently Japan has managed to make more solar cars, and they built an entire building using 98-99% renewable energy (?). The building has no air conditioning! Instead, they have an underground "tank" of some kind, where they store snow (from the mountains!), and this evidently cools down the entire building without wasting electricity.
I think they should do a car cap like in Japan and China, where people are forced by law to change their cars after reaching a certain mileage or age. Older cars pollute more, and with this policy cars would become cheaper anyway (plus, if you have to change cars, people might be more motivated to change to electric cars, or at least hybrids!).
