I don't know why, but yesterday I decided to look up the differences between a circumcised and an uncircumcised penis. I was mostly curious about how men masturbate differently at first (hey we're all curious!), but instead I came across a lot of very uncomfortable information and drew up a lot of uncomfortable and angry emotions.
First off, I saw men jerking themselves off, and I found myself to be a bit.. okay VERY enraptured actually about the whole uncircumcised penis. I'm not gonna lie, I've actually been fantasizing about it. I did a bit of research and most think that uncircumsized men are more sensitive and maybe feel more pleasure because of that and the fact that their foreskin adds a natural friction that they love. It also makes an awesome slurping sound for the very wet cocks *blush*
Then I started getting to the uncomfortable information. I saw a video on youtube of an infant being circumcised.... it was one of the worst things I've ever seen. The baby was shrieking in pain. I was horrified watching. I wanted to turn it off but I was rooted to the spot. I became so angry. I was shaking inside and a part of me was scarred for life. It semi-traumatized me watching and it's hard to traumatize me. I'm very strong willed.
Then I started asking questions. Why do you circumcisize your child? I know there are religious reasons and I totally respect that because those are personal beliefs that everyone is entitled to. But if you're not religious, then why do you get your child circumcized?
I found many reasons, but the most is aesthetics. So we "look" better. This is where I got angry because as usual society as a whole decides what the "beautiful" or "perfect" body is suppose to look like. So people do it so that their children won't be criticized by their peers or potential partners. I can undertstand that... but at the same time, aren't we all unhappy with our bodies? Nobody is perfect. And then that brings me to the point about the TRUTH.
TRUTH: People are ignorant about the uncircumcized penis.
I was too! I'm a mature woman (not stating age) and I've never heard in any health or sex ed. class anything around the uncut penis. No pictures, no lessons, no pro's or con's to circumcision, the health benefits to the consequences if the procedure goes wrong. NOTHING. ZILCH.
So boys are pressured in a society (ESPECIALLY AMERICA!) and are turned down by partners because they don't know anything about the uncut penis. They're horrifed when they see one and shocked. I was too but please girls! Don't laugh! How fuckin immature is that? There are clips of girls laughing at uncut cocks. Take a look at yourself ladies, you probably aren't god's gift to the human males on the planet. Neither am I. How do you think these boys feel? Does insecurity ring a bell? It's just awful.
So, I decided that I want to personally look up more information on the subject. I came across an awesome video from youtube of a mom talking about her 3 boys. She had two circumcized, researched about circumcision, and then decided not to circumcize her last child. It's her experience and I love the video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u5qoRnxiyk so to summarize:
DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!! Don't be ignorant! If you get all the facts and decide to do it, I fully support your decision as a parent or your opinion. Now that I'm more educated about it, it annoys me when parents just say, go ahead do it. Without any prior knowledge or research, and they aren't even in the room to hear their child scream. It's easy to say: YES. It's harder to be witnessing it and listening to your child in agony. They don't numb the penis because anesthetics can harm the child and psychologists say it's also traumatizing to the baby and that they're very hypersensitive. A baby's skin with redden under hot water, it can chaft, how do you think they feel having their skin cut off of their penis? By cutting off the foreskin you are also cutting off nerve endings.
Anyways, I'm biased now, not denying that and I have strong feelings at the moment about it. This was not meant to be offensive to anyone because I was also ignorant at one point and now I actually want to know more and I'm going to ask more questions. I don't have all the facts, I'm no doctor, I'm just a young woman with questions and have my own opinions. This is my journal entry, my personal thoughts. If anyone reads it and decides to comment, know that I expect comments to be appropriate and respectful.
SIDE NOTE: When boys are older they can decide for themselves to get circumcized. Doctors use anesthetics as well and there are websites I've seen where men get it done and are very satisfied with the results. You go guys! You're in charge of deciding what happens to your own body. That's what satisfies me.
