Revenge of the Fallen Movie Review (Spoilers!)
To date I have now seen the movie twice and I personally really enjoyed it. The movie actually exceeded my expectations. I waited 3 hrs. Wednesday night when it came out to watch it. We just stood there waiting for 3 hrs! I couldn't believe it, but it was so worth it. We were the first in line (surprising I know!) and got good seats. Michael Bay actually showed more of the actual transformers in this movie (which makes me happy! who needs those stupid humans?!) and LOTS OF SLASH MOMENTS! I mean, come on! There was even tentacle porn! Soundwave enjoyed himself a bit much in the movie lol. The most aparent was the Megatron/Starscream moments. The first thing Megatron does/says after he's revived is to go see the fallen; say, "Starscream, I'm home!" Then he brings a dangerous clawed finger to bring Starscream's chin closer to his face. *insert slashy perverted mind* XD He "beats up" Starscream like usual (which for them is actually a public display of affection lol) just tossing him around and smacks here and there. But what really had my slash alarm blaring was when Megatron yelled out "STARSCREAM!!" after he'd gotten his aft kicked by Optimus Prime. He called for his love to help him in his hour of need! Someone already wrote a drabble for this so yeah I'm not the only one who thought the same thing. Let's see, Megatron/Sam moment if you squint on one part. Bumblee one-sided love? I'll just say that Sam is confused and should just dump Mikaela cuz alien robots are way better. I have nothing against her, except that she's in the way of my Bee/Sam pairing. lol. There were lots of Leo/SImmons moments too! From the akward closeness to falling asleep on each other. Hey, I saw it lol.
What I also loved about the movie is that they didn't make the Autobots seem like a bunch of pussys. They kicked ass! Especially Optimus Prime! The forest battle was amazing until the end. I hated that they make him die in the movie. And the scene where the helicopter brings back the body they just let him FLOP to the floor! I was like WTF is WRONG with you people!? That's Optimus-Fucking-Prime Assholes! I was fuming. I knew they'd bring him back to life though. Jetfire and Wheelie were my favorite characters though and made me laugh a lot. The twins also made me laugh and I didn't think they were racist at all. People are getting too worked up about it. If you think about it, it shouldn't be surprising the twins talk that way because of their personalities. They probably scanned the internet like all the other transformers and came across the jive-talking slang. It was inevitable! What should everyone sound like Optimus Prime or Ironhide or Megatron. COME ON PEOPLE! Also, one of the voice actors for the twins is black himself and he wrote the lines for his character! He was so surprised at the public's reaction and outcry of racism to his character. People are dumb, but what can you do.
To sum up: ROTF is great because of it's:
1. Megatron/Starscream SLASH
2. More transformers screen time
3. Optimus Prime KICKED AFT!
