A weighty issue

Just braved up and weighed myself for the first time in ages.

I've put another 1.5 kg's on. Not a massive amount, but it has pushed my BMI to 25.7. Not great. I nearly didn't write that here; nearly backed out, ashamed, but - what's the point? We have been eating crap food. I've had ice-creams and stuff a few times.

Ugh, I need some kind of sport as a hobby, or something. I need a dedicated outlet in which to physically exert myself. I had planned to start going for regular, brisk 30 minute+ walks - before/after work and/or during lunch. I did the lunchtime thing once, but Mr Kuriboo and I did the after work walk for a few weeks. Then I got sick with a cold so we stopped - the amount of coughing it caused me made it beyond pointless, then Mr Kuriboo got sick with another cold, now we're both exhausted, work is driving us both nutty, and we haven't got back into the swing of it yet. Ugh.

OK. That's it. I'm going to e-mail a bunch of gyms near home and/or work. Right now. There! I have found a few gyms with free 7 day passes (which I have bookmarked and will sign us up to as soon as Mr Kuriboo feels better). And I e-mailed the gym closest to our place asking for price quotes and information about personal trainers. We probably won't have time to organise much before we go on holidays, but I've started the process and hopefully when we get back, I have found a club for us to sign up to straight away. (If they get back to me quickly enough, I'll join up tonight so I can check the club itself out this weekend and get started.) Maybe if I'm already doing it, Mr Kuriboo will be more motivated too. (We can accomplish great things when are both motivated at the same time (how else do you lose so much weight in such a little time?! But if it's not both of us wanting to accomplish something, we seem to struggle!)

No more excuses. No more sneaked biscuits or cans of Coke or anything else. Time to behave and get back to the food & diet plan, before it's too late and we gain back all the weight we lost. Time to be much healthier!

This made me laugh: "Yeah, and if pigs start flying out of my backside, we'll have free bacon for the rest of our lives!" Thankfully, it's not true, because I'm determined.
