If you haven't picked up "Stadium Arcadium", do. Best album of the year thus far. Best album I've heard in a while.
Also Matisyahu's, "Youth." The guy's an amish reggae artist, but he's got a real talent. It's an excellently produced album, too.
Also, AFI's new album "December Underground"... there's some interesting, atypical stuff on there.
oh, and Anti-Flag's "For Blood and Empire" is pretty good, though as always there are a few songs that consist of what sounds like the same basic guitar and baseline with different lyrics infused. But hey, it's punk.
Millencoin, Rise Against, Flogging Molly also with new albums in the works this summer. Exciting. Warped is going to be sweet. The Buzzcocks will be there, that's a blast from the past.
Also ordered the 1970 Rolling Stone interview "Lennon Remembers", conducted a mere 8 months after the demise of the Beatles. It's supposed to be just about the most revealing interview he had ever given. It's also supposed to dispel a lot of notions about who he was.
New job, counseling kids. Kind of a Big Brother kinda deal. Finally a job with some level of fulfillment.
That's enough random spouting for the month, ain't it?
Keep ON Rocking in the Free World.
oh, p.s. If the Oilers win the Cup I'm going to cry. That would just about cement 2006 as the shittiest year of my life.
