sat with the fam, imogen heap excitement, ohayocon countdown

so first of all im "super excited" about getting tickets to see imogen heap when she comes to Liberty Hall on Dec 12th. ordered our tickets through ticketmaster last week, and am counting down the days. i was so sad when she was at the Bottleneck this past May and we couldnt go. but all is well now cause it worked out in the end. also concerning conterts, Phil and i want to go to Twizted Christmas again, but the date and headliners have yet to be announced. weird cause last year it was around mid-Dec, which makes it pretty late to announce now with 5 weeks till approximate date.

this past Sat we went to my Aunt Brenda and Uncle Henry's, where we met my parents, and all had a visit and went to dinner (late celebration of Dad's bday). took him to Stroud's in KC for their famous fried chicken, which i havent had in years, and Phil's never had. God was it good, and we had a great time chatting and joking at dinner. the best story of the evening was the one about my dad back in the 70s going to a concert with my mom and aunt. apparently he was really baked and got seperated from them after the concert ended, i mean like really lost. when he finally found them a while later he was missing the cooler which he had been in charge of for the evening. he says he was so stoned he just up and forgot it at one of the many places he looked for them. i dont know, it was hillarious hearing them relive it though. the whole evening with my fam was hillarious, nothing but laughter, cracking jokes, making fun of eachother.... thoroughly enjoyable.

other memorable events of the day included oogling my uncles race car which his driver pretty much totaled in the last race of the season. talking and looking at houses and land in the area, my parents want to move outto MO near my aunt and uncle. watching a child almost get pecked in the face by an angry goose at the little pond at Stroud's while we waited for our table. contemplating slitting someone's tires who parrel parked an inch away from our bumper at the resturant (it was my dad's idea).... yea that was the jist of our Sat with the fam.

today the main event was working on the cat tower/house. the blue base, 3 base scracth posts, and middle platform are pretty much complete. watched up to eps 23 of Samurai 7 as well as the movie The Notorious Bettie Page. Phil talked to his mom, sis, bro on the phone about Amber hopefully going to state, birthday, thanksgiving, and christmas plans. i cant believe how much shit we have to do and how many times we'll be going out of town in the next 2 months.

lastly, as of today Ohayocon is exactly 2 months away. time to buckle down on HotRod and my RacerGirl costume. trying to figure out if we'll have the time and cash to also get a couple cosplays done from DD, Chiiko the cheeta and Usahara the rabbit. looks like we're roomin with Treavor and Ryan, we miss hanging with them so much, so it'll be great! the one big problem is gonna be getting that HUGE transformer from KS to OH in the dead of winter, since we dont have an suv, minivan, or covered truck bed. damn a hearse would come in handy right about now, an idea ive very much been contemplating as of late.... selling the car and geeting a fixer-upper hearse.
