Tyra Banks talks about WoW on her show.
Click to watch and be confused The thing is that when I watch Tyra and the others scrutinize WoW, they probably don't understand that when you play the game, and it's end-game, there are usually 40 people average who you're always playing with. The number of people you're playing with even goes into the hundreds. They're all part of your group, and they all depend on you. It's just like going to a party, but through the internet. That's what keeps me from being interrupted when I play WoW or any game which involves other people playing with me.
What keeps me playing WoW is the aspect of rewards through leveling up and item finding. Surprisingly the Burning Crusade has brought some more story which was able to keep my interest more.
Granted, the guy ignoring his new born daughter and his wife. Something that's pretty unbelievable and disgusting on some levels, but there's probably some sort of issues that's actually seperating them. Maybe it's the guy's inability to admit to a new lifestyle that comes with raising a child. Maybe he still wants to have fun and that's his way of doing it. Then again, it could just be WoW (feel free to insert any popular MMO in here) that's making him ignore the world around him.
The thing I don't like is that when video games are put into a negative spotlight, the entire industry gets lashes. That's gotta stop. Just because say, one TV show influences people in a negative way, doesn't mean that all TV shows do that.
