So the reason she was away for the time Team 8 was stuck in the cave is different now, and just lately the "Anko Mission Report Rescue" has been taking place recently. I arrived back in Konoha yesterday afternoon from my... "emergency call". Finished up some responsibilities, took a long, hot bath and went to bed, mentally exhausted.

After arriving home, I immediately went to Anko's appartment to look for those files she was supposed to hand in to Ibiki. Anko, when was the last time you cleaned this place?! Some of this simply isn't sanitary! Especially under your bed and sink. I don't care what you say or do, Anko, I did your dishes.
While shifting through a lot of Anko's other junk belongings, I finally found the files in about three different places. I guess I wasn't too surprised. Anko tends to have a short attention span for paperwork...
Ibiki, you'll be glad to know that I took them to the admissions office right afterwards to turn them in. However, it may not please you very excessively to know that while my genjutsu worked on fooling over half the staff, Shizune wasn't quite taken in. So she's been informed on the situation and stilled helped me. I'll tell you now that she can be perfectly trusted, but knowing you Ibiki, you'll probably not be satisfied with that anyway.
Just take comfort in knowing your job has been completed for you. Okay~?

Due to the errands to run right away, I haven't been able to train with my team again yet. While I'm not worried about them, especially since they've all become chuunin, I've certainly heard a few interesting things going around. (When Anko gets back, she'll want to have lunch so she can catch up on all the gossip.)
Shino apparently has a fiancee. The same girl my team had told me about last year. I didn't get a chance to meet her then, but it seems she's coming to Konoha. While I don't quite approve on arranged marriages, Shino's made it clear he wishes to handle this his way. I've let him know he can count on me to support him in whatever he needs.
I came back expecting to hear from Hinata about her mission to Sand, but apparently she never went. From what I hear from her and Shizune, Neji seemed to throw a fit about it. While I understand he's been more protective of her lately, this seems to exceed certain bounds. I'll need to drop by the Hyuuga manor to see if I can have a chat with him.
I wasn't able to find Kiba or Akamaru in-between my running about, but if they've stayed true to character, they're either training or up to their usual mischeif. I'm sure I'll soon hear about the later if that's what it is.
Today I'll just be taking it easy. There haven't been a lot of mission assignments lately, so outside of training and teaching, I don't really have any pressing matters. Drinks with Shizune tonight--something Anko will be sorry to hear she missed. I'll find and invite Chiboshi Kei, who recently joined the jounin ranks. I've hardly even realized how much time has passed since I became a jounin nearly three years ago. Sometimes I still feel like "the rookie". I look forward to getting to know Kei better.
I think I'll visit the Hyuugas around lunch, let my students know they can also relax until I call a training session, and find a quiet spot somewhere to read.
I hope Ibiki and Anko aren't killing each other.
