Hanami weekend

May 14, 2011 11:29

Last weekend was the Hanami festival in Ludwigshafen.
One week after the Animuc I had to struggle to finish my cosplays in time. I also had to sew Terra's cosplay, because he "forgot" his sewing machine at home ಠ_ಠ

Saturday

I can't believe it, I've managed to finish everything in time. So now we're sitting in the train from Stuttgart to Ludwigshafen.
Sui had convinced me several weeks ago to do a Kimono version of Aqua.

Sui: Kurai, what are your plans for Hanami saturday btw?

Kurai: urm, nothing yet, why?

Sui: oh, just curious ^___^

... later that day...

Sui: Kurai?

Kurai: hm?

Sui: I've wondered... Hanami Saturday... could we perhaps...?

Kurai: I KNEW IT!

So I'm still waiting for most of the pictures, but here's a little preview shot ;)

Sunday

Since our Saturday cosplay was cancelled I had to chose on another cosplay for Sunday. When going through my wigs I found a dark blue curly one I once had bought for Articuno. Imediatly my old love came to my mind, Angel Sanctuary.
So I sewed Jibrils dress from the Lost Angel Artbook within one day ^^;
I forgot the zipper, but that's okay. The dress is really wide and I can get into it without any problems :)

and of course my most favourite :D

All fotos were taken by the nice and talented Sheryl. I would really recommend you to check her dA page out. She's something like the personification of Sakura from TRC in my eyes ;)

All in all it was a very hot and very sunny and hot convention. While wearing Aqua was really comfortable (though I got slightly sunburned on my neckline), Jibril was really hot. I got a major headache at the end of the day. I also spent most of the time indoors, since I had to manage the stage technique for the grou X'n'Y again (thanks to those I got a super-duper VIP Ticket ;) Thanks Saiya).
Then again it was so much fun, I really love to cosplay with Sui and Christoph as Aqua, plus all my friends from my showgroup were there and I really came to like them a lot by now :)
