J Rock Meme Day 7
Just a quick one before I head off to meet up with Lynn!
Day 7: Which J rock song made you cry?
As much as Giru's Kowarete (Day 6) moved me, it did not move me to tears as much as this one did:

びっくりした？
Its ironic how such an upbeat, cheerful tune actually made me shed a couple of tears before. Ok, my tearful response did not happen when I first heard it, but rather when I listened to it again after I received news of their hiatus. A hiatus which I thought was awfully premature for a band on a fast track rise to a new level of fame.
To make things worse, listening to it then made me recall how this song kept playing in my head the day that I left for Korea, and how I felt so excited at the thought of departing from a typical semester then. But given all that's happened over the past few weeks, the word 'Departure' has now taken on a new dimension. Such that the song is a painful enunciation of all that I've missing since I've departed.
But that was then. I'm glad I got over things real fast, and now I'm just looking ahead :)
