Okies, first of all, this is like my first blog entry ever, and this isn't like a mini review, I just feel like talking about it. Yesterday, I had a swedish Zuka friend copy her Cosmos troupe's Rose of Versailles for me, since I'm a sucker for Takako and O-hana, and I'm also a tearjerker when it comes to Rose of Versailles, because that story has deeply moved me in so many ways. It arrived in the mailbox earlier today, and I rushed home to watch it. And... it totally blew my mind off. I just wanted to cry, cuz this is such a beautiful performance in so many ways, and there's a lot of chemistry between the actors, especially Takako and O-hana. Takako was given the role of the swedish count Axel Von Fersen ( and dang, she makes a really incredibly sexy swede), and O-hana was Marie Antoinette, the tragic and sheltered Queen of France. Saeko played Oscar, and Mizu played Andre, and those two are also personal favourites of mine. The story focuses a lot on the secret love relationship between Marie Antoinette and Fersen, but Oscar and Andre also get their spotlight in the first act. I mean.. I can't complain about a goddamn single thing. It was THAT good. The acting wasn't even a single bit overacted, or underacted, at some times, I even forgot they were acting, cuz it was that amazing, and it made me cry on several occasions. I was also in love with the music, cuz it fits the mood of the plot, and the actresses are really good singers, especially Takako. The story is all about tragic, forbidden love, and the hardships and unjustice that existed in those days. Saeko is a really pretty and enchanting Oscar.
Is it really possible to be as sexy as Takako? :P
Anyhow, I really recommend watching it, cuz this is exciting to the very last minute. I can't describe how much I love this.
