Dialogue Piece

“Just sit back, relax and let me do all the work. It’s going to hurt if you’re too tense.”

“It’s going to hurt anyway! What does being tense or relaxed have anything to do with it?”

Aaron sighed, placing his hand on Jay’s shoulder. “You trust me, don’t you?”

“I…”

“Exactly. We’re best friends man. Just let me put it in, okay?”

Jay whimpered softly; the noise transmitting to his friend’s ears, though Aaron made no indication of ever hearing it.

“Watch me,” Aaron insisted, using one hand to cup Jay’s cheek and the other to push his hair out of his eyes. “Watch the way that I do it, so that you’ll be able to put it in on your own later.”

Jay’s eyes widened at the thought.

“We’re doing this again?” he half-screamed, flailing against the headboard of the bed.

“Shh! My parents aren’t asleep yet! Do you want us to get caught?”

“You’re crazy,” Jay muttered underneath his breath, one hand clenching the sheets of the bed.

“I keep telling you: trust me. It’ll feel good once it’s in, okay?”

“How can it feel good? Oh God - you’re crazy and masochistic!”

“Far out - just calm down! I’ve done this hundreds of times before, so listen to me. Okay, it’ll hurt a bit when it goes in - I won’t lie about that; but once it’s in, you’ll be fine.”

“I can’t believe that I’m letting you talk me into this!”

“Believe it. Now, just look over my shoulder and concentrate on something. I’m going in.”

“Did you have to tell me that?” Jay asked, but did what he was instructed to as the other teenager leant in closer. “Just get it over and done with, ok- Ouch!”

Aaron drew back and looked over his friend.

“The girls love it,” he said proudly as their new identical earrings glinted in the soft glow of the T.V light.

Impression Piece

The heat was stripped from the room as a cold breeze sung past and chilled him through the silkiness of his robes. The door that was opened never made a sound, even as it was shut and the outside air was cut off.

She had come to him cyclically for the past seven months, blossoming in his hands, just as all the others before her.

He inhaled deeply, filling his senses with the fragrance of her perfume; of moonflowers. Opening his eyes, he glanced out the translucent-curtained window as grey clouds parted and a shining, white orb glistened in the sky. His little moonflower would not wither tonight.

Tentative steps flittered silently along the polished floor, the small shuffles causing trembles to run through the hardwood and vibrate against him.

A pause.

A match was struck and the sound echoed in the stillness of the room. He felt as the heat danced, imagining the fire moving until it came to a standstill. The light dimmed as her slender, pale hand cupped the candle, shielding the flames from his sight. She pulled her hand away and the brightness poured into the room once again, setting contrast between shadows and darkness.

Half painted red lips parted and a sensual sigh whispered to his ears. Her erotic perfume laced with the aroma of smoke.

The soft padding of bare footsteps descended upon him, alerting him of her closeness before the warmth of her breath glided over his neck. Lissom hands traced over his broad shoulders, moving to run down over his back until they reached the soft palliasse that he sat upon.

A deep intake of breath.

She hesitated.

Her hands began massaging up his back, tracing patterns of hearts and love characters. She reached his height once again and wrapped her arms around him, enveloping him in a possessive embrace.

Slowly, he lifted his hand and stroked the silken locks of her hair, tugging softly on the ornaments holding everything in place. Unhurried, he trailed his fingertips along the curve of her neck until he reached the sleeve of her silk robes.

Too silky; too grand for her stature.

As he laid her across the open mattress, he pulled the pin that fastened her hair together, allowing the haphazardly shortened strands to flow down her back. He spared a single second to notice the sole adorning flower.

Love-lies-bleeding.

The luminescence of the moon filtered through the translucent curtains.
