Matchsticks. So many matchsticks.

Have to keep going through the files.. what if.. what if..

... That's it. Russia. I've got to get to Russia. That'll explain everything. THAT CADAVER JUST TWITCHED.

I need to go. They are coming. I'm not entirely clear who they are but they are most assuredly coming, and coming for me, and probably these ( Read more... )

I'm unsure whether to make a Sean Connery reference or a Nicholas Cage reference. Truly, you've undone me.

I've no idea who either of those people are.

Have you seen anyone with a cigarette lurking about?

You need to get to Blockbusters more often, dear.

I've seen several people with many different and various tobacco-smoking equiptment attached to them; you'll have to be more specific than that.

I don't know much about him besides that. He is ... the cigarette smoking man.

What's a Blockbuster?

Is that printed on his business card?

A Blockbuster is a movie- You know, those moving pictures?- that sold very well. A Blockbusters is a store smelling almost entirely of butter that rents out the afformentioned moving pictures.

I've never received a business card of his, I couldn't rightly say.

I've read about motion pictures in my studies here, though I have never seen one. They did not exist when I lived.

Business cards generally make contact easier, you should get one of his.

My condolences, I'll have to take you to a movie when this maddness is over.

Oh, that's very generous of you, perhaps it might not be--

.. My evidence seems to have just been swept away by.. a .. large rolling ball of various debris.

Might not be what, then?

My condolences, again. You have the worst luck.

Might not be a bad idea.

I'm quite sure this whole alien conspiracy thing is not something I need to be solving, however, even if the desire to uncover The Truth is very intense - practically maddening. I simply am not sure why.

Then I do look forward to it.

Then I can only restate- ...Did you just capitalize 'the truth'? You're aware that's worse than speaking in the third person, right?

What is your name, sir?

I'm not quite sure that this particular truth is not an object or person, as it is so fervently searched for. I've repeatedly inquired as to "The truth about what?" and have received no answers - thus I have no choice but to consider The Truth a title not unlike The Who which I learned about the day before I turned into Robert Smith.

Robin Goodfellow. Yours?

I think it's generally excepted that The Truth is- when capitalised in such an obnoxious way- the answer to all hidden questions of life, the universe, and... everything. Though I've never been a fervent... searcher for such monotony, and cannot be expected to deliver an answer of implicit accuracy.

Klaha. A pleasure, Mr. Goodfellow.

I'm not sure why I was searching - though it does seem to be over now. I've been returned to my apartment. I suppose it shall bother me from now on, not knowing what 'Truth' I was supposed to be finding.

Though the blasted matches are thankfully gone.

The same, Mr Klaha.

Generally when I've been sent to search for something and am unable to locate it, I comfort myself with the knowledge that in all likelyhood it never existed.

And hopefully the urge to track down the... 'cigarette man'.
