I am feeling kind of happy..in a way I haven't felt for really some time.
I think it's because I have a feeling that I have a "hope and a future..."
I hope that from now on things will only get better.
And that my future will be bright and sparkling.
Jonah kept running away from God and his responsibilities, but when he finally obeyed,
he was the best preacher that ever lived.
Why?
Because the whole city was converted within 3 days.
The Bible doesn't say what Jonah did after that, or how he died.
I'd like to think that he died in full submission to God. At peace, having lived a life as a good and faithful servant. And having accepted his calling, though it was not what he expected.
Why do we expect our lives to turn out a certain way anyway?
More correctly (for my context),
Why do I insist to God that he fulfil my desires the way I want?
Doesn't God know what's best for us.............
Doesn't He love us?
Since the answer is yes, I will submit. Waiting, patiently, in expectation.
