Newfound obsession with France and all things French
I'M REREADING CANDIDE AND MICROMÉGAS YAYYY
Because the first time I read both of them, I did not read them as thoroughly as I would have liked to read them. Also I read them in English. So this time, I'm going to read them in both English and French.
I find somehow, I understand more of the French in Voltaire than I do in Le Petit Prince.
Oh and I haven't mentioned it on my eljay yet, but I was in Paris a week ago alkjsndajn
It was absolutely wonderful. I really want to move there >o<
I watched Caché afterschool in French club today. I have no idea what the fuck happened. xD I need to watch it again. IT WAS GOOD THOUGH. Even though I understood like nothing. Having people's heads in my way of the screen did not help.
And I've been watching Kaamelott. <3 I love Sir Bors xD
Also I can't stop drinking Sirop de Menthe. I don't know what I'll do when I run out of this bottle. ): I guess I'll have to switch to fraise. I mean, they were not even 2 euros at Monoprix, but to get them online imported to the US it's $10.
I think it's funny how the kids in my class fell in love with French things no one in Paris could care less about. Like Monoprix, the pigeons, the blue/green street signs, the graffiti, etc. One of the girls said excitedly at one point, "YAY LET'S GO TO MONOPRIX. I LOVE MONOPRIX." xD;
