Yay! This is fantastic! I was just feeling woeful about the fact that all the rye breads for sale in the stores around here have caroway seeds in them...

Oh YUCK!!!! Caraway should be illegal!!! And they hide it in bread so that you never know which one has it!!! Especially around Christmas you have to be really careful what you buy; the loaves are full of molasses and RAISINS, YUCK!!!! Pulla is pulla, and bread is bread; there's absolutely no need to mix them!!! :D

Oh my god, no kidding!!! The first time I bought pulla at a store it had candied fruit in it! Blech!!! Now I just wait for my mom to go into her baking mode...happens every year eventually. ;) This year I actually have an oven, so I suppose there's no excuse for me not to try it myself.

I don't actually mind when my mother comes over, sees my attempts and takes over :D Yup, I'm lazy :)))

I get territorial about my kitchen, but that's just because this is the first time it's ever been mine! But when it comes to stuff like this, I just wait until she calls me and says, "Sunday will be pulla day." I know to clear my schedule, 'cause it's an all day affair. ;)
