There is still lots of ice in Vartiokylänlahti- it's awfully beautiful at dark. Still I can't wait for the ice to begone.

And if I'm not wrong, I've been a couple of times at the place at the end of the street at photo#8 \o

"Our" harbour is still covered with ice, but all "open sea" is, well, open already.

Which end of the street? *GRIN*

I mean the place which is next to the person dressed in blue.
Though I have probably been in the place behind him too :)

Excellent pictures. I love the axe marks and the rest make me realise that it's possible to make picture out of just about anything.

Glad you\ve finally got some green to look at.

The spring light is VERY bright and harsh, and that combined with the dusty grey that still envelopes everything, makes it a bit hard to find anything to take pictures of. Except rotting green shoes :))) But I still liked to bike around pretending to be trying to find something to photograph :)))

A month, then this place is FULL of green!

Graffitin är så gammal att det växer mossa på den. :D

Great photos, as always.

I think the original is some sort of a sea mark, erm, you know, for ships, or something (be awed by my knowledge of anything sea related :))), but most of it is newer, but the lichen grows on all of it :D

Ahhh Spring, when the native Finnish shoes turn green. Always a good sign!

You're getting there - green is coming your way. See - not so much ice now, is there?? How cold is it?

(It's 85F here today!)

Yes! Spring!! Now the temperatures are freezing only during the night :)))) And, yay!! 15.5 hours of daylight every day!! Today the sun rose at 4:30 am and it will set at 8:05 pm *GRIN* It stays light until 9 pm though, and it probably starts to get light sometime after 3 am.

6C (43F) right now, so it will take some time until we reach 85F ;) (GOSH!! 85 would KILL me!)
