at least 5 hugs a day
I don't remember where I read, heard, or watched it, but I know I gathered from somewhere that studies have shown that people who get at least 5 hugs a day are generally happier. It just feels nice to release pent up emotions through a positive outlet (even if the feelings are not exactly positive), rather than moping and hoping and waiting for things to make themselves better on their own. Because they won't. So recently I've been hugging people in hope that it'll lift up my spirits despite the things that drag them down. I think I should actually do this more regularly.
I've been doing this along with my morning Chapel routine. This "ritual" is composed of a few minutes of silence, prayer and reflection after I wake. It helps clear my mind and it has actually made me smile a lot more in the morning going to work. Since I've been doing this, I've noticed better, more sunshine-y mornings for myself, which eventually led to greater rest-of-the-days.

Meanwhile Chico and Delle are on Palawan vacation (with other people I think?) so Gino and Fran took over. So every morning this week, RX has a cross between the Morning Rush and Jumpstart - with the Top 10 and Word-of-the-Day (among others) all in one show. It's cool, but it's kind of obvious that Gino and Fran are not so used to the morning work hours (they admit to it!) Plus, the playlist seems to come more from Gino's preferences, which is okay but it's not the list of songs I'd listen to in the morning. But oh well, they're doing great anyway.

Happy things for the week so far:
