overheard at the Zurich HB travel office:
I schuu schnä gange.
Compare:
(Das) ist schon schnell gegangen.
("That certainly went fast.")
There's an exception to the -st/-sch rule I mentioned before: it doesn't make sense to have two "sh" phonemes back-to-back. Hence I've never heard anyone say esch schuu, but one would hear i schuu (as above). Where the next phoneme is a -sch-, the -st suffix gets omitted or elided rather than shifted.
Incidentally, my experience of the HB travel office esch übahau NED schnä gange. As in, I made the mistake of going on my lunch break, when all the other local employees and late-sleeping tourists decide to do so too. 45 (foifnfiezk) minutes. I mean damn. Mind you, the clerk was very helpful and quick and genial, but still: I'm going first thing in the morning (7:30 or so) next time.

Spital instead of Krankenhaus (hospital). I hear they do this in Austria, too.
