The LiveJournalist evolves into... A Blogger!

Jun 14, 2006 23:10

Most readers probably are unaware (alas!) that
Cousin J has been running a blog of news and commentary relating to archaeology, culture, religion, history, and other Really Old Stuff. It's basically the Wonkette of ancient history.

But don't just take it from me. Behold for yourself:

Old School: An Archive of New Old News (also available as an LJ RSS feed)

That's really neat, you think, but why would The J-Man be plugging it now, of all times? After all, Cousin J's been on sabbatical since January, and he's over in World Cup Land on vacation right now... There must be something in it for the ol' J-Man!

Indeed. Cousin J's erudite ladyfriend Skylar and Yours Truly have now risen to the challenge of becoming the newest official Old School Bloggers. I've already filed (pun intended) my first story. We'll see how well I can keep it up, in light of the laxity with which I've been approaching this LJ in the past weeks of my summer internship.

Anyway: Dig.
And if anyone has any cultural heritage/history tips, please pass them along and I'll give you props. Same goes for anyone who wants to post a guest spot on something relevant...
