SCOTUS: Miers breakdown

Oct 04, 2005 17:15

The Left Coaster has broken down all that is known (at least on the blogosphere) about Harriet Miers's qualifications, in 10 categories.

Things I didn't know:
  • She only argued 4 cases in TX state courts in 30 years.
  • Only 3 federal cases before the 5th Circuit in 30 years, and lost all 3.
  • Her law firm is anti-union, and she personally worked with Microsoft to push defective software on consumers.
  • She's been an instrumental part of the thus-far unsuccessful (thank heavens) effort to shift the ABA to an anti-choice stance.
