Snarl
I am feeling distinctly put upon these days. We have just endured a total power outage of more than an hour, starting just before 13:30. At least it provided a good test of my new UPS which performed in a stellar manner, shutting down the computer efficiently after four minutes without electricity and bringing everything back up smoothly once the poser was restored.
All this happened against the following backdrop:
I do not have migraines all that often so they are devastating when they do strike. This one was heralded by one of the most impressive auras I have ever seen. Brilliant bars of yellow and orange light surround my peripheral vision almost entirely, making me feel like my eyes were flickering on and off. I staggered in to find my feverfew and popped two capsules as quickly as I recognized what was happening. The herb has mitigated the worst of the experience, leaving me with only a small attack of nausea and pain which is within my capacity to bear without screeching. Unfortunately, this hit just as I was sitting down to lunch and only minutes before the power died. It has not been a great morning. Come to think of it - it has not been a great several days. Comcast in and out and now Georgia Power. Is this the revenge of the Irate Pinhead? Bah!
