First day on the job
So, thanks to X's help, Zero managed to quickly find himself a job that he'd 1) enjoy, 2) would keep him occupied, and 3) was more suited to the skills he and strength he already had.
Zero was now Kunpuu's Lifeguard for the expansive beach, from dawn 'til dusk every single day as long as the beaches were open. The only things that would put him off-duty were bad weather and nighttime. He had passed the required swimming test with flying colors, despite the weight of his hair in the water. To help alleviate that Zero wore his hair in a single braid for his on-duty hours, keeping it draped over one shoulder as he leaned back into the elevated lifeguard's chair. It was old and unused for a long time, but sturdy and able to hold his slightly greater weight as a reploid. It also felt good, for once, to completely shed his armor for a pair of red swimtrunks and a white tanktop.
The beach in particular wasn't that busy, but there were enough people that he had to pay attention to them and how they handled the waves. The seas were generally calm, but the currents were strong, and he had been warned of some of the waters' dangers.
