above is the new, and i think, after 58 different versions, cover for the Your Only Love Is Yourself EP.
i came up with this one because, well, i mean, it's not exactly that hard to figure out. the irony with the picture and the title is as about as subtle as a mack truck to the face, but i really like it because it features hitler's minister of structure/architecture albert speer (also, allegedly his gay lover or at least mancrush) on the right. and we should all love albert speer because, well, he's cool. and he was the topic of a machines of loving grace song on the album "concentration". track four. good song.
so, i think this is what i'm going with. thoughts? likes, dislikes? note: i don't really give a shit if you think it's offensive, i'm more asking "do you like how it looks aesthetically".
leave a comment if you want. don't be a dumb fuck when you do it.

become a member and then start tagging everything. hey, in my old age, i'm getting all political and "stick-it-to-the-man"ish. i bet you guys would've never thought that, eh? palecurve getting political and coming up with various political posters and statements to distribute on the net, and tagging sides of buildings with "art is resistance" and stickers that say the same? hot dizzy damn.

well, i'm pleased. i finally got my hands on good copies of nin premiering "last", "heresy" and "we're in this together" live over in europe. WITT is still kinda iffy, but it looks like last and heresy have become like, staples of the setlist now. please GOD let them perform them over here. i've decided that when they start touring here, i'm going to force michelle to come to as many shows possible in the tri-state area (by tri i mean here, jersey and york, not delaware. ew, delaware) until they play them. or witt. or something from still.
but man, there have been some good shows. i'm currently wasting my hd space downloading flac'd bootlegs, or ROIOs, whatever you want to call them, but i'm listening to a march 30th performance from germany, and god dizzy damn, is it fucking great. i'm missing seeing them live. i'm really, really hoping for the following things:
trant raznor decides:
* for tour leg 1, the winter tour, every show will just be year zero, performed straight through (which is 65 minutes) and then for the remaining 30/45/60 minutes (depending on how they feel) they play ruiner, the becoming, witt, the fragile (NON STILL VERSION PLZ), last, wish, the big comedown, burn, eraser, heresy, and then close the show by rocking out on some old school down in it. what. word.
* for tour leg 2 he doesn't play ANY HITS and plays all b-sides. that would fucking rule.
* he goes out and does small-venue acoustic shows. actually, out of all three options here this is the likliest, since he has stated he intends to do this at some point. i dunno about you, but i'd have no beans about dropping like, 150 bills to sit there in a chair and listen to trent, jeordie, aaron, alessandro and josh freese is a homo but don't be weird about it (really, really complicated and super geeky nin internet injoke that if i explained you'd all lose massive respect in me)
to sit and play some nice quiet versions of songs.
(wait, none of you respect me as it is! fuck you.)
and it'd just be super nice if el rezzo would:
* take the time out and do a live performance of the fragile, every song, in order, straight through, for all 80 or 90 minutes both albums amount to.
the end.

i was thinking about it.
when i get married, since my wedding will feature theme songs for everyone, i'm gonna trot down the aisle with my momz to the tune of "home" or "enjoy the silence" by depeche mode.
either that or maybe "lovesong" by the cure?
i dunno.
i think "home".
yeah. i mean, ignore the verse lyrics, but the chorus ones, those are the keepers.
the live version too, since martin sings it really really well and adds all these nice octave variations in his voice. yeah.
oooooooooooooooooh. or what about "in your room"?!?!?! OH WAIT.
even better. "it's no good".
god. so many choices. any opinions? which would fit my wedding and me trottin' wit da mom down the izzle? comment, but don't be a dumb fuck about it.

there have just been some people lately that i just don't get. i don't know WHAT crawled up their asses or why they're acting like total fuckheads, but god. can you people just chill and can we all become friends again? oy vey.

on sunday michelle and i went over to this little get together at steph's. steph works at limited too with michelle. it's nice actually knowing people from that store now, since i don't feel so fucking awkward walking in there these days like i used to.
anyway, steph has quickly become one of my favorite people i've met in a while. she's really cool and easy to talk to, has somewhat the same type of sense of humor, and has a great personality. she's really nice, and her boyfriend is cool too. he's the first guy i've met in years that i've actually gotten along with and have been nice to. normally i try and avoid becoming friends with guys. except eddie and pat, my neighbors, and johnny (rip). oh, and victor. and the 200 other people that stay with pat downstairs. oy.
anyway, the point of this was that it was a highly amusing (observation-wise) but fun couple of hours, and i'm glad i went. i had a really good time. so thank you steph, even though you probably can't read this.

i only love you when i'm high
lyrics for the three will be posted next week.
no words on the EP yet except to say that it's being worked on and keeps mutating with my mood and the hour of the day that i work on its songs. when it's over, i think it's going to be a collection of noise, instrumentals, rants, rap songs, industrial rock, ebm and pop.
oh well. the hell if i care.
i took a CAB from here to the neshaminy mall to go see michelle. i was actually curious to see how much it was. i called my main man, chewie, who's like, my personal cab guy, and we used his GPS to get a nice direct route - it's so entertaining watching your little circle drive on the line. i'm entertained way too easily.
it ended up being seventy-five bucks total. heh.
eh, not that bad, actually, i was expecting more. just pocket change, anyway.
getting super paper mario today! rock on!!
bye kids.
