Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to present to you the apex of brilliance. This is a direct quote, taken from a phone conversation, discussing random things, between Michelle Cantor and myself. After several dozen minutes of speech, she was reading something and completely mis-pronounced "agave nectar", as in the nectar of the agave fruit. I stopped, she realized her mistake, and then said the following, somewhat paraphrased, but the general idea. Direct quotes are in bold.
"Well, I mean, I stopped because when I read it at first I thought it was an industrial band. You know? Like ah-GAVE nec-TAR. Agave Nectar. Like an EBM band. It's kinda like an Orange Sector, Project Pitchfork kinda vibe. You know what I mean?"
I...had no idea how to respond to this, except to quickly record it for posterity's sake, to make fun of her later, and as yet another reason as to why I should just stay away from this bad influence.
I wanted to post it here so we could all share in her insanity. Michelle Cantor; she could've been, but never was. Heheheeheheh.
ps. I have a Wii. I have Zelda. I have Trauma Center. Kiss mine ass. If any of you have an extra classic controller, let me know. I'm on the search for one. The Wii store is up and running - god, nothing was cooler than when I unpacked the Wii, set it up, turned it on, went to connect it to the internet and noticed there was a "wireless" option - and that it PICKED UP Deus_Ex_Machina, my server. So fucking cool. Now there really IS a god in the machine, baby.
The Wii, so far, is fucking AWESOME. It's taking some getting used to, but it's so much fun. And just...cool, you know? Next up is an XBox 360 - as far as I'm concerned, I'm waiting at least a year to buy a PS3, until they release a new batch of consoles. PS systems, as I'm sure you all know, are NOTORIOUS for being pieces of shit when they're released. And from what I've heard so far, they're pieces of shit, all right. And with only like, 3 launch games, fuck that. I'll stick with the Wii's upcoming like, 60 games in the next two months. Thank you Nintendo. Now just make an Earthbound/Mother for the Wii and all will be well.
I honestly think this is the year that Nintendo becomes the leader, followed closely by Microsoft, with Sony in third. I don't know anything about Sony's online service, or if it even exists, but...man, for being so anti-online, Nintendo pulled theirs off beautifully. I'm about to go plunk down eight bucks and get Bonk's Revenge right now.
