Light a cigarette and pull up a chair, kids. Let's just babble into Livejournal for a while and write a really stupid entry that no one will care about ( Read more... )

Haha - okay, I like this plan. If you could, could you investigate pre-ordering the limited edition? It's just a tin container and a bonus "Making Of" DVD, but after my hassles with certain games that like to go out of print, I'm not missing this. If they make you put down money, let me know and we'll work that out. If you could look into this for me you will officially be my new favorite person. :)

Actually, inbetween bouts of Xenosaga III and Radiata Stories, I've been playing DDS - I've been a huge fan of all the MegTen games since the few on the PS1, and MAN, DDS was such a pain - I passed up the first one since it cost so much (which I now regret, since I missed out on the soundtrack and the packaging) - then I got part two after seeing screenshots, and the art style was just SO cool, and...I haven't played it in a while, but the girl with the purple hair...Orgulla? Or am I mixing this up with Xeno...anyway, the one with the mouths for boobs when in demon form. She is SO HOT. So I buy part two, start playing it, and I'm like, screw this, I want to start at the START, yo.

It took me over a MONTH to track down the game, and even then I had to pay fifty bucks just for the DVD case, none of the extras, just because they put it out, produced it for six months, and stopped. Oy vey. But man, the story is SO cool (reminds me a lot of Xenosaga, what with pseudo-religious references and whatnot), and I love the concept of the tribes warring - unfortunately I spoiled what happens at the end of part one for myself, but I can't wait to get to part two. It's just that getting all the damn abilities drives me insane.

...I have too many RPGs, Colure. I have a stack of ten of them and I haven't even OPENED five. I need help. ;)

But I like your plan! :D I think it's a good idea, and I appreciate the offer. :)

Adding you back ;)

Yes. Yes you do.

Colure thinks your idea is adorable, and I am inclined to agree since I drew it.

heh I thought you might like that plan! :D I'll definitely look into you preordering it down here, although I'm positive they're still taking preorders at the moment. I also know they'll be shipping like, a bajillion copies of it all over the place, so it shouldn't be too hard to get your hands on ;) If you want, I can even get you phone numbers of all the local EB's or something if you wanted to talk to the people there and make sure you'll be getting the one you want, if you're concerned about it anyway ;) But yeah, so I'll let you know next weekend what I learn!

Ahh Kevin just recently beat Xenosaga III and he liked it a lot. I've got the first game, and I've picked it up to play it a number of times, but I've never been able to really get into it. ;p Kevin tells me this is normal and that once you get past the first little bit it gets much better, so I think after I beat DDS I might try to get into it again. Meh yeah the Shin Megami Tensei games are soooo hard to get now, it's too bad you passed on them earlier - like, they're impossible to find ;p Kevin got his roommate Davin the first one this summer, and I think he had to shell out like $60 for it and it was used too ;p lol and you're thinking of Argilla ;) She's pretty awesome, but I think mouths for boobs are kind of scary personally ;p hehe. Oh! And as for playing DDS2 without playing the first one, it's actually not a good idea to do at all, because the second game loads up your data from the first game, and decisions you make in the first game will effect what happens in the second game. But yeah, I definitely love the concept and the storyline, it's really interesting, and I like how you learn things as the characters learn things. It's awesome. ;)

haha ohhh Pat, you can never have too many RPGs!! lol. Anyway, awesome, sounds good! :D
