Ugh. I have an 11 AM doctor's appointment, so I'm awake early. Although I'll probably go take a nap for a few hours.
I am having SUCH A HARD TIME covering Queen's "Get Down Make Love". I don't know why. Maybe I just wasn't "in the zone" for that song last night, but Jesus Christ, I just couldn't do it.
I also had SUCH a hard time writing this melancholy piano song needed for the score...just couldn't pull that one off either. I don't know. Maybe I'm stuffed up musically or something. God only knows.
I don't know, I want to crank out a song and just sing to it, just to do it. Maybe I'll just cover the Pet Shop Boys' "West End Girls" when I get home just because it'll take me like, an hour to do the music and I can sing that fucking song in my sleep, although my mic is proving to NOT be as good as I thought it was. Plus, I remember running a poll back in the day, and West End Girls won the "what song should I cover" poll by like, one vote.
If anyone has some other EASY, retarded song they'd like to hear me cover and hear by the end of today, let me know.
I'm also doing the Cars' "Drive", but that's for a film project. Doesn't count! And I'm not doing it today anyway. That one will actually take work.
If anyone knows the song, the newest FOTW track I've been working on (super secret) sounds a LOT like the Funker Vogt remix of Das Ich's "Unschuld Erde", music and vocals. Obviously it's not in german, niggers, but you know what I mean. Pay attention to the part that starts around 3:35 for a good idea of how some of the song sounds, too. Since a lot of you haven't heard the FOTW tracks I'd throw that out. Plus, this is a great song and remix, so I figure...I will let you, the ELJAYERS, download it. Maybe some of you will become Das Ich fans and support one of the best bands ever. especially live, man, Jesus CHRIST they rule live. Here's a Yousendit URL:
