A/N 1: whoaaaa, such a long time no writing xD well, I made/wrote this from whatever popped out on my mind, so go easy on this, okay? :D hope it's not too bad xD lol

“Minnie-ah, hmmm…” Kyuhyun hesitatingly talked to his best friend.
“Hmmm? What’s that?” Sungmin casually replied.
“You have plan tomorrow?” asked Kyuhyun.
“Let me think…hmmm, should be no if dad and mom won’t ask me to do anything, why?” replied Sungmin while still reading the book.
“What do you reckon if we go out tomorrow? Since it’s a day off and well I’m tired of being a ‘good son’ already” Kyuhyun secretly hoped to receive a ‘yes’ yet being a bit nervous he was.
“Why not? But I’ll confirm you tonight, is that okay? Because I’m afraid mom asks me to go somewhere or do anything with her” Sungmin replied, smilingly.
“Sure, just text me. Then we can decide later where to go, anyway, I have to go now, got a class this afternoon, see ya around” Kyuhyun replied then he headed out to his class.
“See ya” Sungmin replied and continued reading her book.
Later that day when Sungmin arrived home and asked her mother if she had any plan for tomorrow, fortunately, her mother did not have any. Sungmin, then, texted Kyuhyun that she would be available. Speaking of Kyuhyun, he was some sort of happy.
That was normal for Sungmin since it was not their first time to go out together but to Kyuhyun, it was otherwise.
Kyuhyun almost flew from the ground at the time he received Sungmin’s text. At that night, he could not sleep; he was standing in front of his mirror and practiced his ‘speech’ that he needed to say tomorrow when he met Sungmin.
“How the hell people say ‘practice makes perfect’!!” Kyuhyun groan in frustration.
Next morning, after breakfast and showering, Kyuhyun almost dug his way in his wardrobe to find a suitable clothes to wear to his ‘date’. However, he ended up wearing a normal v-neck t-shirt and a pair of black jeans.
At the same time, Sungmin, instead of digging her wardrobe, she just wore whatever she could grab.
‘Hanging out with Kyu is the easiest one; don’t need to worry too much about what to wear’, Sungmin thought.
Sungmin heard her phone alert telling her she had received a message.
From: Kyu
Min, I’ll pick you up later, around 1, alright?
From: Min
Yeah, sure! Sounds good! See ya :D
When the time came, Kyuhyun went and picked Sungmin up. Upon seeing her wearing her normal favourite type of clothes which was just a black-white stripe jumpsuit.
‘Just the way she is. Simple but cute’, thought Kyuhyun.
After Sungmin got in the car, Kyuhyun asked, “I’m thinking of going for a movie then we can go for a snack, something like dessert later, if you want, what you reckon?”
“I’m in. let’s go now, mister?” Sungmin said looking in the mirror at the passenger seat; she was checking her hair again.
“Okay, anyway, Min-ah, your hair looks nice already, don’t need to check too much, I like it”, Kyuhyun said, teasing her.
Sungmin gave him a little hit on his shoulder and said “I know it’s okay, but I just don’t know why I happen to have this habit once we’ve about to leave for somewhere else, and what is the problem with you?”
“nahh, nothing at all. Basically, teasing you la, haha, don’t know why either but it’s fun” Kyuhyun said laughing.
“I don’t see what fun about it. Hate you!” Sungmin said, pouting.
“why hate me? You wanna walk home from here?” Kyuhyun said and reached his free hand to pinch that adorable pair of pouting-lips of Sungmin.
“stop it Kyu” replied Sungmin and Kyuhyun just laughed.
For the rest of the ride, there was chitchat all along making the atmosphere so comfortable.
Later on, they were watching this romantic movie. The concept of the movie was ordinary; just a typical love story. The actor and the actress started off with a simple friendship then it turned out to be love.
After the movie was over, Sungmin kept on admiring how great their relationship was and so on.
On the other hand, Kyuhyun felt so happy when he heard Sungmin admired it.
Later on, they went to a nearby dessert place. Kyuhyun knew about that place from his friend. Once again, he was happy that Sungmin liked it very much.
Once they finished eating, it started to get dark already. Sungmin was suggesting that they should go back home and Kyuhyun agreed but he said he wanted to take her to a place first.
Kyuhyun then stopped by a small river. They didn’t get of the car though. He just stopped the engine and they sat there, in the car, looking at the sky, absorbing the night fresh air near the river.
“Min-ah” Kyuhyun firstly called out.
“Hmmm? And why are we here, Kyu? Is this what u said earlier?” replied Sungmin.
“Yeah, it’s the one. Well, I have something to tell you.” Kyuhyun told her, sincere could be heard from his tone.
“Tell me now, Kyu. What is it?” Sungmin asked again, curiously.
“Okay, listen okay? I’m not gonna say it once only.” Kyuhyun said, Sungmin nodded and he continued, “Min-ah, I know you’re gonna freak out but I still need to say” he paused a little bit. “and I also know it’s weird but I’ve liked you in a way which is more than friends do, I guess it’s been a long time already although I just realized it recently”
Sungmin indeed freaked out. When she was about to open her mouth to say something, she got cut off by Kyuhyun, “don’t reject me now, please think about it first and tell me later, is that okay?”
Sungmin didn’t say anything, instead she asked him to drive her back home. Kyuhyun didn’t say anything but just followed her.
Few days later, when school was almost over, Kyuhyun received a message.
From: Min
Kyu, meet me at the roof after school, I’ll be waiting there.
Kyuhyun was very nervous, a part of him thought that finally he could have the answer now, another part of him was worried what if she rejected him?
‘Cho Kyuhyun, you wouldn’t know what would happen if you haven’t known what the answer is yet’ Kyuhyun encouraged himself.
Later on, after school, he obliged the message and went to the roof of the school to meet Sungmin. When he arrived there, he saw her back.
“Min” he called out.
“Oh, you’re here, Kyu” Sungmin said and gestured him to come closer to her.
“So…?” Kyuhyun tried to break the small awkward moment between them.
“So I’ve been thinking about what you told me the other day, and by today I have the answer for you” she paused, “well, I’m sorry, I’ve never thought about that, never, even once. For me, you are my best friend, Kyu, I hope you understand”
“What about all those sweet moments we have had before? What about the ‘date’ that night?” Kyuhyun asked.
“You call it a ‘date’ but I call it a ‘hang out’, sorry honey but that is not ‘love’” Sungmin said looking at the sky full of clouds.
“Okay, I got it,” Kyuhyun replied, full of paint.
Walking off of the roof, he let out a drop of tears and so did Sungmin when she was standing still, didn’t bother to move.
Sorry that I broke this friendship~! Kyuhyun mumbled, alone.
