Dude, Disney is finally doing a black princess, and the film is supposed to be done with hand-drawn animation and not all computer generated.

I read about that in yesterday's LA Times (you can keep up with the 'old town that way if you want). The film will be set in New Orleans, with music by Randy Newman, and the Little Mermaid producing team. Bodes well, if the story is good.

Of course, I hope Disney treats Maddie better than they have their Indian and Chinese princesses. Do you ever see them at the parks?

[nsshere, when I told her about this, said "Oh, happy day!"]

Hope things are going well in your new home.

Actually you can see Mulan and Pocahontas often if you go to Ariel's grotto in California Adventures for their princess lunches.

Unfortunately NO princesses are easy to find in Disneyland right now (though I've seen both Mulan and Pocahontas wandering around in previous years) because most of them are all tied up in their new show 'Princess Fantasy Faire' where you can meet them after the show but the lines are literally on to two hours long. It's just a bad set up right now because they can't have princesses in two places at once. Ariel still shows up in her Grotto these days and the basic five are in the parade, (no Jasmine usually I admit so the Arabian princess is ousted) and if you count Alice you can see her quite often. (She's counted in Kngdom Hearts as a 'princess of heart' and while some people says it counts and we all like Alice...well I don't buy it.)

Now I've got this song running through my head:

All the young girls love Alice
Tender young Alice they say
If I give you my number
Will you promise to call me

Amazing what triggers things.
