Tonight I saw this guy in a Superman suit. He was wearing a blue superman t-shirt and a cape and a pair of H&M comic book undies that I totally also own. I wanted to go up and say hi to him, but he was always talking to friends of his and I was really shy, so Jamesly kept telling me "You should go talk to him! What have you got to lose?" And so eventually I did and I was like "Nice underwear!" and he smiled and said "Thanks, only the best underwear ever!" and I said "Yeah! Have a super evening, superman!" and walked away. Then throughout the night I thought he kept looking at me and trying to make awkward eye contact but I just sort of thought "Naah, he's way too cool for me." And then right before I left, I saw him with a friend of his standing a few feet behind me. Superman was looking really concerned and anxious and all that, and then I saw that his friend was like "You should go talk to him! What have you got to lose?" And then Rose told me we had to go so I gave him a thumbs up and waved before I left.

I don't know, it was just a really cute moment realizing that I'm not the only person who always gets this way around other people. It's silly, but really.

This has just been a really good week. Evidence?

- Went out for Harry's birthday last night with the Neff fam. We saw Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D and then got dinner in Chinatown (as Harry's mom called it between bites of her "Chinese" chicken fingers, "eating like they really do in China!").
- Mr. Gagnon decided to kind of not teach on Friday and just played Billie Holiday for a while and then tried to compare jazz to physics for a few minutes just to make it slightly more educational.
- Mme. Mirabile asked me to come up with a song for our class to use to remember the irregular verbs in the future tense, so I spent all of class on Friday singing "sera! ferais! voudrai! pourrai!" to the tune of "Material Girl" in front of the class.
- After the PSATs this morning, mother acted as if I had just had surgery, and was all "Are you okay? Do you want to get something to eat?" and so I took advantage of the opportunity of my mom being generous by making her take me to Savers.
- Bumping into India in the library and playing with all her little siblings in the kids' section.
- Of Montreal!

I'm tired.
