Big messy list.

- Skyler Fox sent me an invitation to his Bar Mitzvah party which is A) kind of adorable and B) even more so because the inivitation looks just like a Ticketmaster ticket - and, to top it off, the ticket stub is an RSVP note with a built-in pre-posted envelope. I love people who can afford Kinko's.
- In my continuing quest to keep taking guitar lessons while simultaneously remaining terrible at guitar, my teacher has kind of given up on the whole trying to get me to improve thing and we spend most of our lessons listening to Prince and then realizing "WAIT, WE HAVE A LESSON. Okay, uh, let's learn how to play the first ten seconds of this song for just a moment." It's kind of the best.
- Freshmen steal all the food at lunch. I'm going to start packing peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Which I have absolutely no time to do, but that's another story entirely.
- I have a huge frush on Mr. Hutton. Yesterday after class, we basked in each other's awesomeness until Nicky Wiseman came in and was all "I'MNICKYWISEMANIRUINEVERYTHING," so, that was that.
- Aside from having a frush on Hutton, I really like English in general this year. A) I'm more prepared for it this year than I was last year, B) I enjoy and/or have been meaning to read pretty much all the books we're going to be reading this year, and C) it's just generally a cool class.
- Oh, and have I mentioned how I totally don't hate history this year? Seriously, this is the first year I've had history when I haven't been thinking "I HATE HISTORY" by day two.
- As much as I love you, new shoes of mine, you hurt my feet, but that's okay because I still love you.
- I just found all these clothes in my closet from when I was a little kid that look like a stereotypical Frenchman's wardrobe and I love them more than anything.
- By some miraculous stroke of coincidence, Harry and I just realized that for both of our foreign language projects involving writing something about our best friends, we both ended up writing something about each other, so I guess you could say we're kind of the best.
- That boy needs to un-ground himself right this instant.
- So Ray of Light is kind of a really good album, and not even just from a me-ish "MADONNA IS AMAZING" perspective; it's just kind of a really awesome CD?
- Someone be my workout buddy.
- Don't you love the feeling when you lose something (say your French textbook, for instance) and then come home and realize that you haven't lost it at all, it was just under your sofa? Because I do.
- Also, have you ever started making a wish at 11:11 and then it turns 11:12 right in the middle of your wish and you're not even sure if the wish counts anymore? Because that happened to me today and it always happens and it's kind of really annoying.
- AND ALSO, have you ever made a wish on a star and then wonder if it actually was the first star you saw that night and then wonder if that wish even counts anymore either? Because I do.
- It's only the second week of school and I already have way too many extracurrics piled on my plate than I can handle. I was really thinking about doing Speech, but then I realized that I'm doing GSA and the A Capella group and the Hilltopper and possibly the musical and possibly doing tutoring for community service credit and possibly Theatre Arts Society and maybe even all of them at the same time and AAAHHH. Okay wow.
