I haven't updated this thing in a bit. My updating track record is getting less than desirable.
Truth is. I don't have much to say. That, and I still haven't scanned in the ultrasound pictures of baby, and everytime I think "I should update" I then think "but that means I have to scan in ultrasound pictures and I am far too lazy for all that nonsense".
So this is an ultrasoundless update, just so everyone knows whats been going on with me.
Scott was so ill on Easter, and has given me his icky bug so I've been taking it easy for the last couple of days. He's so adorable though. This was our first Easter together. The first Easter we missed, he was in Iraq and I sent him a card that said "You owe me an easter basket!". The second Easter we missed, he was in PLDC, and I told him, "You owe me an easter basket!". So this year, I got three Easter baskets. I lub him.
We're still trying to figure everything out for the big move. There is so much to consider that if I try to think about it my eyes start to cross. Things like billing periods, and leases, and new homes (thats right, we're going to BUY a home, Gods willing) and areas of a place I've never even visited, and packing, and all the sorting that goes with that. Its all quite exciting, even if it is mind-bending.
I've been looking at houses in the areas closest to where we will be (or where I think that is, which could be completely off once we arrive). There are some seriously adorable properties for less that $200k. That makes me happy. Its fun to think of the possibilities though, being realistic, its so different looking at something online than actually being there. I have contacted a real estate agent there though, so hopefully most of the things I am wondering can be settled before we even get there, then when we do arrive, they will be ready to show us around! Its all so exciting!
Its hard to explain my moods right now. I am looking forward to moving, but also know I will miss this place. I am hoping that the new area we are going to isn't as metro and citified as it is sounding. I will miss this place even more if that is the case. I'm nearly certain I will not make it out of here without making a "things I will miss" list. Not only am I a perpetual lister, but also a perpetual nostalgia junkie :S. It's inevitable.
Right so, that is what I've been wrapping my mind around as of late. I will scan and post the ultrasound pictures soon, maybe tomorrow, if I have time after being lazy :P
P.S. If anyone knows anything about the Ft. Lewis/Tacoma area, please do share ;)
