The chorus is just bursting with bubble gum sweetness! Even now it still possess the power to make me singalong with it. The Shojo Tai were my first Japanese pop idol phenomena when I was a kid. They also did a couple of Hong Kong teen movies collaborating with the HK answer to Shojo Tai, The Happy Girls Trio (開心少女組) famous for the Happy Ghost movie series.

Happy Ghost
Happy Ghost movie series were a movie going rituals for Chinese kids in the 80s I think. I mean, unless you've live under rocks or were an English educated Banana kid, yellow on the outside white on the inside, you would have partaken in the ritual at some point. HK singer Teresa Carpio (杜麗莎) had a memorable role as the uptight head nun in the movie. And I really like the super cute Lam San San (林珊珊), the other famous siblings of Jan Lamb (林海峰), cos' she was just so geeky adorable and I really like her version of Danny Chan's "Love's Pre-notice" (戀愛預告).
