Felt like I have sleepwalked through Christmas and New Year...
I came home to the farm and found out that the heater in the house died on me.
I was rescued by a male colleague and stayed over at his for a warm night.
The next day when I was alone in my freezing room, I lose it and the dam broke.
I "wept-dial" two mates, one in M'sia and one in Korea to get things out of the system.
It was a built-up of cross-cultural frustrations, home-sickeness and loneliness... alas lose it.
I told a couple of friends, that I will be here as long as my sanity holds up.
I am feeling it slipping away in rapid pace these days...
Consolation, I love my students, and they are the best part of the deal here.
There are some nice colleagues, but they are too busy or too intimidated to commune in English.
As I have said... as long as my sanity holds up....
*just 5 min after I was done with the entry, my neighbor came over and gave me some cakes. Korean hospitality is really something, but it swings between hot and cold and kinda baffling sometimes.
