[ooc; TO PREFACE: This dream is inspired by this little conversation between Chie and Naoto, along with Chie's comments about Naoto's dream having been like a movie. Combine that with a chat with Funk, and uh... You get this.

A catchy 70's beat plays in the background as both CHIE and NAOTO, looking considerably older than their teenaged selves, take seats in front of RYOTARO DOJIMA's desk.
NAOTO: How are you doing, Detective?
DOJIMA: I believe you two know each other?
NAOTO: (While looking at CHIE) Hey, why don't you do me a favor and go and get yourself another beef skewer and let the grown-ups talk?
CHIE: For your information, I just had six.
NAOTO: No, you didn't.
CHIE: Look! (Presents six bare skewers to NAOTO while DOJIMA looks on apprehensively)
NAOTO: ... (Reaches out to take the skewers.)
DOJIMA: (Disgusted) Why are you touching those?!
Cue a Midnight Channel logo and some shots of a Segway skidding around a road.
NARRATOR: (Sounding suspiciously like the PROTAGONIST) Detective Naoto Shirogane did everything by the book.
NAOTO: I said freeze! (While pointing a gun at someone who is jaywalking)
NARRATOR: Officer Chie Satonaka never even read it. (As CHIE is shown scarfing down a dozen bowls of noodles and fly-kicking herself into a lake.)
CHIE and NAOTO are in the police headquarters, and NAOTO is typing busily away.
NAOTO: You're late. I've been here since eight.
CHIE: (Stunned) Eight o' clock?! What, it's like school here?
NARRATOR: But now... they'll face their biggest problem yet.
The scene cuts back to DOJIMA, CHIE, and NAOTO at the desk.
DOJIMA: You two deserve each other. You're partners. (NAOTO clearly looks dismayed by this development.)
NAOTO zooms up on a Segway towards CHIE, looking very... badass.
CHIE: (Clearly impressed) Whoa!
NAOTO: Are you coming?
NARRATOR: This spring... Two legendary cops are teaming up...
YOSUKE: (Entering from a bar scene) Hey, look what the wind blew in.
NARRATOR: ...To take on the ultimate bad guy.
TORU ADACHI is shown, reclining on a beach with NAOMI HUNTER on top of him.
ADACHI: They cost money. Cabbages, they cost money. This suit, Dojima's coffees, they all cost money. And do you think tail is free?
The scene shifts, showing CHIE, NAOTO, and YOSUKE in front of a motorcycle.
NAOTO: I like your motorcycle.
YOSUKE: (Leaning on it) Thanks. It only took me three times the amount of time it would have taken me to save up for it if it weren't for Chie.
