I'm so sick of people saying "i'm so sick of this election..I just wish it were over"...comments like that make my blood boil. hell.. we are one of the few places that actually has the priviledge to vote in our leaders and we have FREEDOM OF SPEeCH!!!!!!! you have no idea what an Iraqi woman would do for that in her country pre-saddam's capture. don't take for granted what you have. exercise your rights and let people know your stance. if your are 18 or older don't just sit on your ass..get out and vote for whatever elections are being held. If you don;t like the way things are headed...get out and get active. Write your congress(wo)men, get active in the community, write letters to the editor. do you know what the first thing an elected official does after reading a letter you've written them? they go and look up whether or not you are registered to vote. because if you are not registered to vote or haven't bothered to vote in previous elections, why should they care what you are writing. your "un-vote" won't matter but if you are an active voter and are registered to vote in your precinct, chances are they will take you more seriously.

BTW: interesting convo w/some young gentlemen today on the bus...I was asked of girls are just as sexual as guys..like you know how boys are copnstanly thinking about sex and kinky things? so I replied sure we think about it..but not in the ways that guys do. i think we are romantic about it..but then I heard "sweet!...girls are just as kinky as us! nice!"..no..that is not what I meant...guys are waaay more kinkier..lol..they like other things..lol. I think we think about it in a more rose petals in the bath tub kind of thing and like your wedding night and stuff..not like one night stands and hooking up in bathrooms with tons of guys while drunk at parties. we want something out of it....I'm sounding very philosophical now.
