An update because it would be very hard to hurt myself with a keyboard.

I have had a decent weekend. I worked on Saturday all day. Bart has a story that he likes to tell about it and he thinks that it is rather funny. Bart will have to share that one though. We had dinner with Bart's family Saturday evening. Sunday morning we woke up and went to church and then bummed around. We went to the St. James Apiscopal Church at 11ish to look at the stained glass windows inside. There was a lady there that was ninety-three. She was an excellent organist. She talked about her life a little bit. Her huband died the year before I was born. He was going to take her out to dinner one night, but he never came home. She had just cut his hair and his car got ran over by a train. It was a sad story from an extraordinary woman. I would like to go to church there next week, or the next time we get up early to go to mass. Perhaps if I go twice in one day it will average out to all of the times I never go. I randomly picked up I will fear no evil by Heinlein...I am almost done.
Anyway...when I got home today the airconditioner wasn't working. It is a holiday, so it will never get fixed. We opened all of the windows. Bart took me out to dinner at applebee's. It was nice. We rarely get to go out anymore. He is taking 16 hours and I am taking 17. He has kungfu and I have about five extra lab hours and work.

I randomly picked up a piece of driftwood in hopes of making a beautiful walking stick out of it. I was sanding it the other day and sliced open my hand. Today I was carving some designs into it and managed to stab myself in the hand. It bled suprisingly little. It isn't even bleeding now, which leads me to believe that there is something in it. It is pretty damned deep and I really don't want to cut it open more to make sure that it is clean. It is almost silly to go to the hospital to get stitches, so I will make it a point not to show anyone and it will be ok. It doesn't look that bad anyhow. It hurts like a bitch.

In other news...I am planning on doing a coop or internship next summer. I was thinking about doing it at Calloway in Fulton, but there are numerous openings at KAPL...where I want to work when I graduate. If I stick my ass in there now, and every summer until then, I can probably get a really nice job. If I turn out to make a lot of money, I will just finish my degree in New York and work at KAPL until then. Which brings up another issue. I need a car. Life is good, but I am going to call my grandma and type up a resume.
