Update, Update.
Still really, really looking for a new job. (Anyone hiring? I'm totally awesome. Seriously.)
Enjoying summer already - have my second sunburn of the seasons to show for it. Oops. Why do I always forget sunblock? Spent something like 10 hours outside yesterday and loved almost every minute of it.
Played a casual gig w/ the dixieland band today. Gig season is around the corner. YAY!
I'm also getting the feeling that this could be my last summer in Columbus. The urge to pack up and leave keeps getting stronger and stronger.
A musician friend of mine splits her time between here and NYC. Recently she said something about how people in NYC are motivated. I think I know exactly what she means. Columbus is comfortable. People here are happy to do their thing when they can, and work their lame jobs and do the family-raising. And that's great if that's all they need. But being around other people who *have* to work at their art/craft/music/etc. - there's real value in that. And I don't know that I've found that in Cbus.
Oh, and I am also totally addicted to twitter. (
