Allright, so last Wednesday I chilled with April and Izzo for a bit. We watched some 90210, ate, and discussed killing a certain waste of human life, which is always a winning combination. I left a bit early because Rob and his mom were in the 'hood dropping off his car for inspection and they picked me up that night instead of me taking the train out Thursday afternoon as usual. Rob's mom was nice enough to take us to this Greek/Mexican/Italian place for dinner in Huntington that was called... something Grille... well anyways it was amazing and I need to go there again.
On Thursday, Rob and I chillaxed most of the day. Later in the evening I went running for an hour and realized how much I missed it. I stopped by my sis's house a bit later to change Rudy's kitty litter and to say "hi" to her too of course. Peggy was a little bummed about missing Chris and all that, and I was sad that I couldn't do too much to make her feel better.
Friday Rob's dad took us to lunch at Sushi Park, which was amazing as always. I've been getting a lot of good free meals the last few weeks, so I guess I've really lucked out. Then his dad dropped us off in Levittown to pick up Rob's jeep from getting inspected.
Saturday morning Rob went to work and I borrowed my sis's car to run a few errands. Then I drove home by before noon for my sister Stephanie's birthday (we were celebrating it over a month and a half late). I hit up the gym first before the festivities began and then celebrated with my family for awhile. I love my family, they are completely insane and wonderful all at the same time, I never dread spending time with them, in fact I'm a tremendous dork and I look forward to it. Around 5ish I drove back to Hauppauge so I would be back in time to drive over with Rob to meet up with Dennis and Danielle so that we could all drive out to Hershey Park. It was one hell of a drive (like I should talk, Danielle was the one that drove the whole way), but we made it to the motel by 12 (just in time for our reservations). I've concluded that I hate Pennsylvania, or at least most of it. The ride there was entertaining though, nonetheless.
Sunday morning we were all up early so that we could hit up the Park before it got too crowded. We ended up saving a lot on admission, and it was a really great day. I went on all the rollercoasters with everyone except the last one, because it was one of those painful wooden ones that makes your brain rattle inside your skull. The Great Bear ROCKED, and so did this other one called the Storm Runner or Chaser or something like that. By the early afternoon we were all feeling a little woozy from the heat, so we went over to the "Chocolate Factory" which was really just a building with a tour/ride of how chocolate was made (it was really well done) and a lot of shops. Rob and I were very disappointed that they didn't sell these giant pie-sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cups we had heard about, but I was still able to satisfy my sweet tooth nevertheless. Afterwards, we all hopped in the car and headed home. We were making really great time until we hit Staten Island, which sucked. I swear, traffic started to pick up again right after we passed this guy on the side of the road fixing a tire. What the hell is wrong with people? Why do they need to slow down and stare at every little thing?
We made it back to Rob's house by 9:30 last night, and pretty much passed out by 10:30. We slept fairly late today, and I caught the train home so that I could work at Acker for a few hours. I must have been more tired than I thought, because I got home from work by 5, ate, and managed to pass out by 6 o'clock. I was shocked to wake up at 1 am. I don't think I've ever taken a 7 hour nap before unless I was drugged up or something. I even slept through my phone (which was RIGHT next to my head) ringing about 3 different times. So now it's almost 3 am and I can't get back to sleep. I guess I'll go read a bit or something.
