BAD END? Four would be best (arms!), and I have ideas for that- but mostly I think it's going to be coping with shit but mostly the absence of everyone except the manikins and Chaos guys. Some of whom are more/less helpful.

Incidentally, the FF Wiki doesn't have what Bartz's Wind element represents. Fantastic. Courage = Fire = Faris. It is close to the beginning of the game, but it's still through the Wind Shrine… I guess they couldn't figure out where to put it in, but geeze guys! I am very disappointed. I mean, I'd go with looking at the classical element (…so Greek, yeah…) but that links it with intelligence (and soul, apparently? huh.), and. Well. Bartz. Noooooot exactly the best fit (but really I don't think he's a complete idiot which makes it kind of uncomfortable interacting with others on dear_mun and such).
SNES: Pursuit. …not as helpful as I was hoping. Makes sense, just- not helpful. Resolve? GBA: 'Courage, the essence of flame… Devotion, the essence of water… Hope, the essence of earth… Passion, the essence of wind…'
…could probably argue the relation of all that to classical elements, honestly.
In ancient Greek medicine, each of the four humours became associated with an element. Blood was the humor identified with air, since both were hot and wet.

I am deeeeeefinitely putting together bits and pieces of a Scott Pilgrim-based AU which is also. kind of. a post Sburb/Sgrub AU because everyone getting out OK hahaha NO and general mixup AU so OH MY GOD SELF probably a bad idea! (I. I suspect it might end up looking more like a NaNo thing oh my god self. aaaaaahhhh)
I think definitely some kind of fantasy AU, hahaha! oh god I can totally do canon stuff I swear AU just says 'LONGFIC :DDDDD' to me more!
and there are some fantastic AUs around shiiiit how would I ever be able to write up to scratch BUT I WON'T KNOW IF I DON'T TRY and IT WILL BE COOL even just writing!

So a thing! There are six main antagonists you find as you pass through the game! …although one of them doesn't appear unless you go down Carlie/Kevin's path- they die on everyone else's before you meet them, they're the secondary encounter- you encounter one boss who acts basically as an unlocking mechanism for the final new area (although the Dark Knight is basically just… in the way), and then the second one is waaaaay further in and just about the last thing before meeting the final boss (minus a bunch of rooms). Essentially, you could map out one of the heroes to one of these enemies, sort of. It works better in some cases than others, though- Carlie and Kevin have pretty definite relationships with the two under the Masked Mage, although really Deathjester is an arse to both of them. It's a little less distinct with Lise and Hawk- mostly I think we just don't get enough with Jagan, but Isabella/Bigieu wrongs both of them again. It doesn't work that well for Angela and Duran either, honestly- Duran is a) after the Wizard of the Red Lotus, Koren and b) connected to the Dark Knight. Angela only really has connections to Koren, as they're from the same country, she's not related to the Dark Knight at all. Still, all things being equal is pretty neat.
