One of them bulleted updates... you know the kind...

Okay, so it's been a while (again) since I've made an update. Hmm... maybe a week or two? I dunno. Anyway, I've got a few things to cover, so I'm going to go the tried-and-true, bulleted route with it. Here goes:

• First thing's first, and this is a big one... I finally sat down and talked with my dad about this whole gender thing. He's known for quite a while, but... we just haven't discussed it before. He's quite accepting and supportive of it. Moreso than my mom was at first (which is not to say that she openly opposed it). So that's all good so far. We also talked about my lack of progress as far as making my life livable and self sustained in concerned. I've since done a few things to fix that: GED test date is February 22nd, doctor appointment is on March 21st, set up session with counselor, and as soon as I get some, I plan on saving the money. I haven't been able to spend it on anything I wanted since November, anyway.
  
  
• I applied at Urban Outffiters out downtown... presenting as Zoë. One of the most uncomfortable things I can ever remember doing, but it has to be done sooner or later if I hope to make any progress. They were very open to me (and, matter of fact, I think my chances are better hear by being different than other people) and while I don't know that I have the job yet... I will by about spring. The store I was interviewing for opens down in Rice Village in summer.
  
  
• I've been picking up console games for a bit, trying to get into them. Picked up Doom 3 and Fire Emblem in the past few weeks to try and get deep into them... but it's just not working. I seem to only be playing stuff on DS with any kind of frequency. Matter of fact, I just traded in my Micro and got Resident Evil on the thing. It's just as goofy on DS as it was on PSX.
  
  
• Final Fantasy XI is a bust once more. The HDD in the PS2 fried... again. Sony will repair it for free, but I'm not sure if I even want to send it in. Guess we'll see.
  
  
• Goddamn me and my procrastinating. I've been putting two things off that I shouldn't be. The main thing? My voice. I haven't been practicing like I should be. That seems to be the one thing that gives me away when I'm out and about in public. I need to actually work on fixing it instead of feeling stupid about practicing. The other thing? Drawing. I've wanted to start a webcomic for a while now. I have a few stories out on the table with which to do that with. Hell, webcomic, machinima, or just a movie script... I dun care. Some medium with which to get the creativity out in public. I just am closest to a webcomic.
  
  
• Oh yeah! I dyed my hair. It's no longer just brown with red highlights. It is now... well... red. Just red. Like almost Dana Scully-red. I didn't want it quite so red, but... meh, it don't look bad. Matter of fact, I have a couple of pictures... lessee...

The pictures were taken after I got back from the interview, by the way. That's how I went. Well, anyway, I figure there's more I could write about, but I can't think of anything now... so I'll update again in a bit.
