California! Here we come!

So if you couldn’t tell by my OC tribute, I am headed to California, but not after having a little fun in Denver first.

This coming Saturday I will be celebrating one of Charity’s last nights of being a single woman. Can anyone say bachelorette party? With Helyna on one side and Hillary on the other…it can’t get much better than that! So get ready Denver for a bunch of wild and crazy girls (kids…) for a great night of debauchery.

Then the next day Helyna, France and I are headed to Red Rocks where we will happily tailgate in line to get in to see The Fray. We have tickets for the few rows of General Admission but we believe that we will be seated (more like standing) in Row 7. Not too shabby seeing how I got the tickets just last week and they have been sold out for awhile now. And at a very reasonable if not cheaper price! Thank you Ebay! So that should be a blast. Drinking, tanning and talking with the two coolest girls ever and then seeing a great concert sounds like a great time to me!

After a long night I will wake early Monday morning and fly out to…you guessed it…California! I was originally headed out there for DCI Championships only but this trip has morphed a little due to later events. So Monday I shall fly out, head to Cal’s place and reenergize for the day. I plan on visiting a couple of colleges including UCLA and USC. Mainly just to get a good look at them and think wow…if I have 30+ grand to spend a year on grad school, I would go here! Then on Tuesday I am hoping I can go to Disneyland. I really want Caleb to join me (my treat for letting me stay at his place and finally allowing me to cuddle with him ha!) but he has a new job and I don’t know if he can pull off a sick day already. I just might have to kidnap him and call in saying that he is unavailable for the day. Any thoughts or suggestions? Wednesday I just might have to spend at the beach on my own. Go out there for a few hours and lay out, maybe do some shopping on Rodeo Drive or go through Beverly Hills and stalk celebrities. I’ll find something to do. Maybe even visit Cal at work and see if I can get into the biz as they say out there. Ha. Thursday and Friday I am at Drum Corps International for quarters and semis. I plan on visiting the lot and seeing a few corps while they warm up but for the most part I want to watch the shows. I have awesome seats and cannot wait to see BK, SCV, Phantom, Bluecoats, and Crown. (And I hope Cadets fail miserably again and Phantom rises to the occasion!) I would love to stay to watch Finals on Saturday night but…I fly home early early Saturday morning in hopes of making it to Charity’s wedding. It starts at 4pm and my flight supposedly gets in at 10 something so hopefully everything goes smoothly and no problems are had.

Saturday night should be awesome. All the CTVers getting back together for Charity and Andy’s wedding. Good times good times. I feel quite a bit of drinking, dancing and laughing will ensue like always. If Dave is there we’ll have long talks about work, things we hate, and innuendos about baseball. Oh Dave… Doug and Helyna will hopefully be my seating mates if it is assigned seating. Hillary, most likely Rachael, and many others will join us as well. Excellent. I am really looking forward to it!

But until a week from today I need to work my ass off at work and get my special project done. I know I’ve had plenty of time to start and finish it yet that’s not my style… Procrastinate until it is uncomfortable and the stress is ridiculously straining.

So wish me luck and let me know if you will be in the LA/Pasadena area the 6th-11th for I will be! Thanks for reading my post and I hope to do this more regularly. It’s good to write.

This week though I need to get together with Colin and his mom, hang out with Alex and the Breth family, finish my project, possibly go down to the Springs, if not then when I get back for sure (I miss you Val!!!), get things pressed for the wedding (or even order a dress for it), rent a car for California, and spend time with my mom before she heads back to China. And make sure that I don’t do anything else to my cornea to piss it off. I scratched it and was in the most pain I’ve been in in a long time yesterday. Ugh. Bright lights suck. I felt like a mogwai saying “Bright light! Bright light!” (Anyone get that reference?) So there you go. For those of you who I haven’t talked to or hung out with lately, I am sorry. Been super busy and looks like I will be for another 2-3 weeks. Catch up with me then and hopefully I will be able to breathe a little more easily. Later!
